Iggy Pop, Marianne Faithful, Jeff Buckley, and others appear on this compilation of Edgar Allen Poe's short stories and poems. The two-disc set includes his most famous works including Iggy's AMAZING reading of the "Tell-Tale Heart." Diamanda Galas, a singer I wasn't familiar with before, is just chilling in her reading of "the Black Cat."
This CD is not available digitally and is fairly hard to find. Especially for Poe fans, I would pick it up when and where I could.

) Nobody does work like Hal Wilner. Anything he puts his hand to is worth investigating. The stories presented here are wonderfully performed with inspired music to set the perfect atmosphere. This is a great disc for fans of spoken word performances as well as music fans. Hal Wilner, a name to remember.
