Close Encounters of the Third Kind (DVD, 2002, Single Disc Version)

The Movie was has a excellent cast and was written with great knowledge of the topic of possible alien visitors. This is a must see.

I've always loved Stevens Speilberg's earlier movies. He used innovative ways to make the images come to life on the screen. I bought this DVD because I didn't have a copy as part of my collection. When I did just a random search on day, I found someone was selling a collector's edition on DVD. So, naturally I just had to have it! I love it!

I enjoyed how this alien type movie took a different turn than most others. It will forever remain a long time movie bestseller and I think that those who enjoy alien movies will definitely enjoy this one.

There is only ONE Close Encounters. You cannot make a Close Encounters 2 or anything else that would come remotely close to the way this country and the world felt at that time about UFOs. DON'T miss the chance. BUY IT!!!

I do believe in aliens, I do believe in aliens..............Great movie on the subject and entertaining to boot. Dreyfus, as usual, is a show stealer. Great new appearance and exposure for Belinda Dillon. A good watch.

This movie doesn't lose a thing with age. It's a classic movie about extraterrestrial beings and how we can relate with them, learn from them and perhaps find a new understanding of our own lives and loves.

was actually at Devil's Tower this fall and in gift shop they were selling dvd for $24.99 + tax. Knew I could find on ebay so I did. Very happy-watched it and really enjoyed. Thanks so much

As an early movie about extraterrestrials, this movie is excellent. The script prortrays events in a way that seems a bit naieve, but Spielburg did an excellent job overall. I highly recommend this movie.

This was one of my favorite movies from the seventies. I am glad I finaly got it on dvd. The widescreen version is great also.

UFO movie at it's Best. If you ever had an expirence, or thought you saw something. You should watch this movie. Scarey & funny. Great effects.

Is there a rating above excellent? This is a classic film like "Ben-Hur", "The Godfather", etc. A great story. Great performances from every actor. A study in madness, frustration and government cover-ups. You can't pick this film apart and say this was great and that was great. It was great from start to finish. On DVD it's great because the film is great but it just does not come close to seeing it for the first time in the theatre. When we saw this in the theatre we were blown away. Everyone was. It was the same reaction as "Star Wars". No one had seen anything like this before. It made non-believers in UFO's believers! Very thought-provoking and convincing.

I bought this great classic movie because it was a favorite of mine. This was the directors cut that had scenes I hadn't seen befor witch I thought gave more info to the move. Overall it makes a great movie even better.If your into scifi classics this is one of spealburg's best.

Eye-catching from the opening moment; the most realistic movie about aliens ever made. Spielberg took some creative time with this one, you can tell. Absolute genius of a flick.

This movie was a present for my boyfriend. He use to watch it with his grandmother when he was little. I need it had a special bond between so I found it on ebay and bought it for him.
He loves this movie.
Even to this day, the little nice ailen scares him.

It was worth watching once.My kids like movies about aliens.This was not too scarey so the kids could watch but keep in mind the 80s raiting of PG is more like PG-13 now a days.It was ok.

i don't know the movie all that well,it was a gift.the main character is contacted by something from outer space and tries to convince family and friends that it is going to be alright.

This is a classic movie, and it was one that I didn't own. Now, it is in my DVD collection to enjoy for a long time to come.

it was a movie I have wanted for sone time and I think it is great. I think its one of the best sci-fi movies around.

This is one of my favorite childhood movies, its been so hard to find in stores, and always sold out, thank god we have ebay :)
