Clock Tower is a game i had played along with many other Horror titles such as Resident evil and Silent Hill. What separates this game from others besides it's Point and click game play is also it's spontaneous counter attacks and horrid atmosphere. Being chased by a 4 foot tall immortal monster welding a giant pair of scissors in a satanic castle does it for me. The music alone is enough to keep you on the edge through out the entire game. I love this game!!!
This is one of the most scariest games you could ever play!!

this game will scare you but also annoy you. the game itself is a point and click adventure survival horror type of thing that does have a slightly harder time being played on a console. it can be frustrating when you have to click on a microscopic object, that your pointer has a hard time picking up on, to advance the game. that and the graphics are starting to show their age.
non-the-less, this game will keep you on the edge of your seat with a constant sense of suspense that anything could happen. you never know whats behind the next corner and thats great for a survival horror game of this type. plus, with 10 different endings, 5 per character, you really can't lose. this is a must have for a quick look into nostalgic horror and a good scare to put you to sleep.

Clock Tower is an awesome game, period.

The game consists of mostly detective work where investigating certain objects is your only way to make progress. Scissorman only makes it more enjoyable by jumping out of things at random - it's pretty frightening. You don't control the character like in Silent Hill or Fatal Frame; instead, Clock Tower is a point-and-click game that has you telling the character where to move or what to look at. You can play as one of two characters with ten different endings, which gives it a high replay value.

The only downside to Clock Tower is the graphics. The characters are ugly compared to today's standards, and sometimes certain objects are hard to see.

If you are looking for something different, enjoy solving puzzles, and don't care about graphics, you should definitely get this game.

I bought to know the beginning of this series of terror. It is not as the games of the sort with shots and much blood, but with scares and much amusement, it is a very interesting game.

Clock Tower is a timeless classic

If you are into video games of a horror or suspense nature, then look no further then Clock Tower for the Playstation. In the day and age of video games getting more and more realistic and violent, Clock Tower still holds it's weight. The graphics are not the greatest and the game can be a little slow moving at times, but the fact that the infamous Scissorman can appear out of nowhere in the various mazes of rooms you must explore, keeps your heart pumping. I'm no expert by any means, but I really think that when the "Scissorman" music starts up and you see this villian for the first time it is a rewarding experience. This was one of the first Playstation games I ever bought, what seems like a lifetime ago, and I have always had a love for it. Even to this day the game is still appealing. That is why, after all these years, I had to purchase it again. The dialog can be silly at times and there is not a lot of bloodshed (if that is what you are looking for), but all in all, I recommend Clock Tower to anyone who loves a good horror genre game. I also recommend playing it in the dark!!!

  Great Game

This game is just fantastic. It's scary, has a good story, and will keep you on the edge of your seat. For a Psx game, "Clock Tower" is way ahead of its time. Although, some will not like the whole "point and click" idea, and the graphics are, of course, not great...but overall this game is excellent...

An instant classic...

You might not like the whole mouse with the psx controller but you get used to it. I have played this game many times. different paths to take and secrets to unlock. I wouldn't recommened buying the whole series. 2&3 aren't good read the reviews. This one Has you screaming all the time. Scares the crap out of you. Scissor man in the game is actualy good unlike 2&3 where there is knights and samuris going after you. The graphics Are Ugly but it is a psx game so i wont argue. Only thing that really bugged me is that the Scissor man never dies. Buy it, i think its better than all the Resident Evil games except for Outbreak File #2

  CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

Pros:
Scary as hell. Multiple endings.

Cons:
May induce nightmares. Little replay value once it's over.

Not being a big horror fan, I had no clue what to expect from Clock Tower the day my brother purchased it for our Playstation a few years back. I soon knew the meaning of fear that Resident Evil cannot replicate. Clock Tower is that scary, easily outclassing the RE series by Capcom in terms of eye-bulging terror. Why? For one thing, the development team that worked on this game were all horror fanatics, dead-set on making this game scary, without being overly gory, and by gum, they succeeded. I've always felt that the best way to describe the experience of playing Clock Tower is to compare it.
