Clock Tower 2: The Struggle Within (Playstation)
Review created: 05/27/08

This is the second installment in the Clock Tower series of games. The game boasts many different endings and has a respectable amount of replayability. It's not as scary as the first game was but it does have it's moments. It's mostly a point and click game but you can use the D pad on your controller for certain movements during the game. Having played Clock Tower 3 first and then having played the other two games in the series it sure was a change in how the game is essentially played. The graphics aren't all that great but then again keep in mind this game was made many years ago. Overall I would give this game a 3.5 out of 5 stars rating just simply because of the point and click and also that sometimes it can be hard to figure out what to do next to advance yourself in the game.

Pros:
nice graphics, extras if you can beat the game

Cons:
easy to get stuck, annoying gameplay, voices are bad

A woman runs through a familiar house. She is being tracked be a psycho kid with a knife. She enters a room and.... OH MY GOD a dead body!!!! Well, maybe it's oh my god for her, but for the rest of us, it is as suspenseful as watching the lawnmower cut grass. Don't get me wrong, Clock Tower II: The Struggle Within does have some scary parts, but nothing that would scare you into hiding under your bed. After the original Clock Tower, I could not understand where this game went wrong, well, here is just a few places. The gameplay has some major issues. First of all, it is point and click, which.

Pros:
The store at the mall actually bought it from me

Cons:
It's a point and click game, I didn't know they still made those, everything about this game is a con

I have recently learned that my friends and advertising have one thing in common, I cannot trust either of them ever again when it comes to video games. Between the two of them, I was led to believe that Clock Tower 2 was a great game that I just had to have. Sadly, it was all a lie. I will admit one thing, the concept of the game is pure genius. Just the thought of being able to play as a person with split personalities and being able to control both of those personalities was tempting enough to make me want this game, but when my friends at work swore as to how great the game really was and.

Pros:
hmmmmm....not much...the graphics are okay

Cons:
...pretty much everything else

When you think of bad acting in a video-game, you typically think of the survival horror genre. Although most video-games don t feature very good acting through voice-overs, the horror genre has become one of the most widely-known bad ones. Perhaps it is the fault of the developers, who, in hopes of saving money for other facets of the game, decide to go for the cheapest actors they can. Whatever the case may be, Clock Tower II is a perfect example of this. While the acting is not worse than that of games like Resident Evil, it certainly is not better. The characters talk as if they are being.

One of the worst games on the Playstation!

Pros:
None

Cons:
Graphics, gameplay, storyline, everything

Clock Tower is awful for a playstation game. You move a mouse cursor to certain areas of the screen with your controller. Sound stupid? It is. I heard of Clock Tower 1 and how it scared the heck out of people with the Scissorman and now this other freaky guy is after you in the 2nd installment. I think: "This must be a good game, the 1st was so good!" I rented it, played it for less than 10 minutes, then returned it. Terrible, boring and dumb. Cons: You cant move around very fast, it sometimes takes forever to find the certain object you need to manipulate and the grpahics and music are...

  So many endings

Pros:
Solid survival horror game

Cons:
Not as scary as first

I've read the other reviews on eopinions about this game, and I don't think this game is that bad. True, I enjoyed the original Clock Tower more, but in the vein of survival horror, this is a solid game. I'd like to offer some counters to the specific complaints about the game: *Clock Tower II is point and click -- That's not a horrible thing! Almost all survival horror/goth games that I have played (Clock Tower I, Silent Hill, Echo Night, 7th Guest for the PC, Resident Evil) have been had a heavy point and click component. I think you can still have a point and click game and be dynamic...
