Click Clack Moo by Doreen Cronin (2000, Illustrated, Reinforced Hardcover)

I teach Kindergarten and this is the most requested book for me to read during our farm unit. We have several copies and also have it in Spanish! A great book for laughing out loud.

I love this book and the rest of them by these 2 ladies!! The drawings are simple but have so much in them. The story line is easy to follow and you don't have to read all of the books, but it does make a great continuation if you do. great for kids of all ages!!

I bought this book to teach agriculture to students in elementary schools. They love it! It is funny and the students really get into it. It's a wonderful repititious book.

The cows in the story find an old typewriter in the barn and send the farmer a note--they want electric blankets. When he ignores their request, they go on strike, and soon the chickens are following suit. The language and illustrations are simple but the humor is subtle.
I bought this book after using it with special needs kids in my third grade class. I brought in an old fashioned typewriter that looked a lot like the one in the book, and the kids enjoyed typing, just like the animals in the story. But the book can also be used to start a discussion on everything from letter writing to labor relations! It's also a good story to use to teach sequencing--first this happenend, and then what? And then what?
The only challenge for some readers may be that the book deals with two key items, a typewriter and electric blankets, which many kids have never seen. But books are supposed to expand kids' horizons, so I don't see this as a problem but rather as a fun way to learn something new.

My nephew (age 3) was having this book read to him, and started cracking up as my sister was reading. She hadn't been paying much attention to the content, only reading the words, so she started over, and he continued to laugh at the apparent absurdity of cows writing a note. He continued to chuckle throughout the book, as did my sister. It's a great book, funny themes, and an early introduction to negotiation tactics. But overall, just plain fun. I highly recommend it.

The students in my classroom love this book! It can be used for a variety of ages. I know adults who love it, too!! I was happy to add this book to my classroom collection.

The rhyme and repetition of the words in this book make it a favorite read-aloud for young children! The illustrations are wonderful...as noted by its receipt of the Caldecott Honor award!

My kindergarten age child LOVES this book, we read it together every night, and he thinks he is reading it along with me, and just maybe he is! It is a cute message, clever, funny, nice artwork, overall a really great childrens book. Dooby Dooby Moo is another favorite, but this one is probably even better.

I bought this for my kindergartener after she went to see the play with her class. This is an absolutely adorable book. My whole family got a kick out of it!

This is a great book. I used it in the classroom to introduce letter writing and the kids loved it. It is funny and engaging for any child.

I collect children's books because I am going to be a teacher. Not all schools have a wide collection of good childrens books, so I am making my own. THis is a very good book for children and funny too. My neice loves to read this book.

Dorin Cronin is one of my favorite children's books authors. She is so creative! The illustrations are wonderful, and the story is so cute! This book is great for an addition to any classroom library or your child's personal book collection. A+ all the way! You cannot lose with this book!
