Cleveland TA5 GunMetal Irons
Review created: 06/13/09(updated 06/13/09)

I bought a set of these irons a few years back off of ebay. To me, these are probably the most attractive irons I've ever seen, black gunmetal with the beautiful Cleveland logo in white lettering. They're very similar to the Ping eye 2+ model, only much more attractive, and I'm guessing the lofts are all probably one club stronger than Pings, because I hit them about ten yards longer than the eye 2's. I believe club makers have done about all they can do to game improvement irons. So, don't fall to quickly for the next expensice gimmicky set of irons. Save yourself a few bucks, and at least try an older proven set of clubs i.e., Ping eye 2's, Clevelands TA2-3-5-7's, Tommy Armour 845's, Lynx's Parralax, Wilson's Staff/Ultra 45's, a couple of older Ram sets, you get the idea. I've played with all of those irons listed, and quite a few more, and they've all served me well. Bottom line, I find myself drifting back to the more simple designs, and I can honestly say that I find them easier to hit, and more accurate then some of the latest and greatest clubs out there. I hope I didn't ramble too long, and I hope this review was helpful.
