Cleveland Hi-Bore XL Driver Golf Club

From the first time I hit this club out of a friends bag, I knew I had to have one.I am a 8 handicap and have played a fade so far with all my drivers. This is truly the only driver that I can hit straight, or call on a draw and it is looong.Used callaway for close to 15 years and since I got this club haven't missed it at all. I would recommed this driver to anyone wanting to improve their accuracy and distance! I liked their driver so much, that I am going to try the cleveland irons out too.

I really like the club. It has a somewhat smaller face than the club I replaced it with and I'm having a hard time hitting the ball in the center. However, even hitting it on the toe or most anywhere else other than the center send the ball a long way. I find that when I do hit it in the center I really like it.

I play as a 5 handicap and this driver is as easy to hit and as long as any other Ti driver out there. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with brand-new 2007 models... they perform just like the 2008 models.

I finally decided to try a 460cc driver again since in the past Ive never liked how light and empty some of them feel. After reading lots of driver reviews and looking at some local golf shops I liked the Hi-Bore XL because of the head design so you can feel the mass of the club which feels more solid at contact. This club has a large sweet spot (or full face performance) so you can tee the ball high or low if that's your preference and the ball will still jump off the clubface. This inspires confidence so I can swing a little faster and not worry about hitting on the toe or heel as much. Also, the club lends to a low takeaway so my backswing isn't as steep, so I can try to avoid some of the outside to in downswing that creates a fade. I also went with the stiff Fujikura stiff red shaft. Having lower torque, a heavier shaft, and a stiff tip give me better feel at contact as well so I still get a decent shot on mishits because the club covers it up well. I would recommend going with this club to most golfers who want some newer technology and are having a hard time narrowing down to vast selection and various clubhead designs. Also, it is probably a good idea to get fitting with the right loft and shaft since there are lots of options, and it will make a difference. Hope this helps.

great driver! ball seems to exploded off the club face. its rediculous because i still use my old driver and hit balls with it to compare the two. They have the same shaft length and both my clubs are 9.5 degrees, but the XL goes about 10 yards further!

I like the Cleveland Hi-Bore XL Driver because I find it easier to hit. It is lighter than my previous driver. Also, it has the shaft and the degree that I like. Thus far, there is nothing to dislike about it.

It is so much better than my game. I needed it for a charity golf tourney that I was playing in and it came in in time,one practice day and it made me look like I knew what I was doing. Luckily, it was a 4-Ball and I made it through. Nice club.

This is the first time I purchased a driver with a higher loft 11.5 degrees. This
driver adds 15-20 yard to my drive. Part of that may be the loft increase, but who cares why! You really have to hit it badly to make a poor shot. It gives an echo like pop when you hit it. The fujikura shaft feels very nice. The swing weight helps to feel it and keep it one plane. The only issue I had is at setup.
I think the regular driver may be a few degrees closed. To get the clubface square my arms are 2-3 inches forward from my other drivers. The easier you swing, the nicer she flies.

I am not the best golfer by no means. But I drove a par 4 the other day with this club. About 310 yards. The club sounds great when you hit it in the sweet spot. I like it.

I have the Cleveland HiBore XLS driver with the Fujikura Gold regular flex shaft at 10.5* loft. I've had Taylormade, Callaway, Nike and Adams drivers and this one is the longest and straightest that I've owned yet. It's easy to hit and long and forgiving on mis-hits. I'd say it only has two drawbacks, it's very loud and you can't really work the ball with it but if you're looking for a driver that's going to help you hit the ball long and straight, you can't do much better than this one.

I like the driver but I haven't used it enough to reach a conclusion; In my limited use, it appears that I can hit the ball farther with it; the thing I don't like is the head of the driver is bigger than I am used to and it will take a little time for me to adjust .... I bought it because it was an 11.5 degree and I chose Cleveland because I have other Cleveland Clubs and I like them a lot.

Like the way the club sets up. I want to hit more fairways, even if I give up 5 yards..Like the balance..I need a low loft for my ball flight.

It feels good. Too good. Can't tell if I'm missing the sweet spot. The balls all go straight. Swing the club is easy. Looks good at address.

i bought this driver because i have another just like it and i wanted one with lower loft it does exactly what i wanted it to i would tell anyone that wants a great driver buy this one for sure

Very forgiving club with a great sound on impact. Everyone around have noticed the improvement with longer distances. I have retired my Nike Sasquatch!

I bought this club long before I should have and used and abused it after having it a year I bought a new one didnt even look at a different driver.I can work this club draw or fade a slight draw with this club will roll forever on a nice strait fairway.I would recomend this club to anyone on a good driving day I can hit with anyone on my local coarse with this club on a bad one I am not embarassed.I would say to set up different stretch out and dont be scared to lay into it booooom sounds like a gun shot love it.Theres not another new driver out there i would trade for try this club for the price you wont be sorry.

Suits my skill level. Impressed with product constructions. Good quality. High performance. I found the price to be competitive.

My husband has a set of the Cleveland Hi-Bores and My Grandson tried his driver out one day and liked it. He is 14 and was just starting on high school league. Anyway we were looking for a driver and found the Hi-Bore. he loves it and hits it well and straighter than his other driver. We may be looking for him a whole set later and I know where I'll get the best price.
