Throw out your long irons, the Halo is taking over!

Got a 3 iron in your bag? How about a 5 wood or even a 2 iron?
Time to throw them out and replace them with a Halo.

This club is flat out unbelievable. Get the right shaft for you, (I prefer Rifle 6.0 but that's just me), and there is nothing you can't do with this club! My wife got me a 22 degree with the stock graphite shaft for my birthday and I was completely sold after my first trip to the range. After I got it fitted with the Rifle shaft to match my swing I was even more impressed. First off, this club has some distance to it, I mean serious distance! It totally creams my trusty old 3 iron and the higher flight path makes for much softer landings that stick to the green. It also allows draws, fades, punch shots and chips like there is nothing to it. It's effortless, the ultimate in user friendliness, (can you tell I love this stick?).

I'd been spending some time this last spring testing out different hybrids after listening to "everybody" ranting about how great they are, but every one I tried had a little quirk that turned me off, until I tried the Sonartech MD and the Halo on the same day.
Both clubs are phenomenal but you can get the Halo for less then the MD and I can't for the life of me separate them when it comes to performance, (the Halo might be a few yards longer after I got the new shaft installed), so the decision on which one to buy was a no brainier for me. Next purchase was a 16 degree to plug the distance gap between my 3 wood and the 22 degree which also pretty retired my 5 wood.

  Halo is Heavenly!

The Cleveland Halo line are the BEST hybrids I've hit in the past two years with no exeeption. I've played most of the line (2i to 5i), as well as the comparable hybrids from Nike, Callaway, and Adams. The Cleveland Halo has a bigger sweet spot, comes with a nicer stock shaft (Cleveland and Fujikara have a GREAT partnership going), a wonderful tour-velvet grip, and a feel that is unlike any other hybrid I've hit. When you make good contact, the mass of the head and the size of the sweet spot make the ball feel like a soft "click." On mishits, you feel the weight of the ball a bit more, but the face is very forgiving and even mishits can turn out not-so-bad.

Have you tried pitching with a hybrid? The head size helps the club glide and not bite into ground or grass. Try it! Pitch with the 3i or 4i from long grass around the green. Don't stab...focus on keeping a smooth, fluid chipping motion and let the loft of the club pop the ball up into the air.

The ONLY club I'll use out of fairway bunkers now is my 3i. Again, the head shape doesn't BITE in the sand like an iron can. Hit ball first, and you'll be AMAZED how well these things hit out of fairway sand. I also use my 2i or 3i to punch out from under trees or to hit a 50 foot "putt" from the short approach grass onto the green.

I have replaced my 3-6 irons with four hybrids. I'm playing better golf, hitting more fairways and staying there, and hitting ALOT more greens in regulation. Visit your local golf shop (the one with the indoor pratice cell) and hit Cleveland Halo, Nike and Callaway hybrids. Hit the entire range of clubs about six or seven times each. Then see for yourself which you like best. My bet...you'll like the Halo best!

newer could hit long irons. the solution is the hybrid. the halo is easy to hit, gets the ball up in a hurry, and is longer than my 4 iron. in the rough it gets better yet. the halo sweeps through the rough easily, does not get snarled up in the junk. GREAT CLUB. The whole world of golfers need products like this. Thanks Cleveland halo. Plus I saved $50.00 by buying is used and it was in mint condition. I do believe in the golf god, and E-BAY.   Gof club review

This is an excellent golf club from the fairway or the rough. It is extremely easy to hit. I have the 'sister' to this club and I end up finding reasons to use them when I play. It's much easier to control than a 3 or 5 wood especially from deep rough. The easier you swing the club the better it performs. I don't carry a 4 or 5 iron any more, my Cleveland Halo 2i and 3i have replaced them.
This club was rated as a 'best buy' in a Golf Magazine test of utility clubs and that's why I bought them. I recommend them to anyone who plays golf, even the golfers I compete against.

Halo 2 and 3 hybrid iron

These hybrids are very easy to hit. Mishits tend to go 100-150 yards, while cleanly struck balls go 200-220. I have taken my fairway woods and my long irons out of my bag. Hybrids do not cure slices or hooks, however.

Patrick D. Connors is a lying eBay seller

I was sold what was supposed to be a regular flex shaft cleveland halo hybrid golf club. The seller sent me a club with a shaft that was whippy and far from a regular flex shaft. He then ignored my attempts to contact him so we could resolve the issue. Then i was forced to take the issue to paypal resolution center which seemed to upset Mrs. Connor. The issue was finally resolved by paypal in the sellers favor. Paypal resolution center is a joke! How can you fairly solve a disagreement without seeing the club that i wasted 64 dollars on. That showed me that eBay and paypal are a farce. You two losers belong together with that liar Mrs. Connor.

Cleveland Halo Hybrid - 2 iron replacement
Review created: 11/10/06
2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

To start, I already had a Cleveland Halo Hybrid 3 iron replacement (both have stock regular graphite shafts), so I knew what I was getting. These clubs are fantastic! They are easy to hit and long! In my first round with the 2i playing a par 5, I had 235 left to the green and put it 15 feet from the pin! I have Sonartec fairway woods which I like as well; however, often I do not even carry fairway woods and simply carry these hybrids. This leaves me the option to carry extra wedges - Gap, Sand, and Lob. Having the extra wedges gives you more options within the critical 100 yards. Thus, I would highly recommend the Cleveland Halo Hybrids for both what they can do and what they allow you to do relative to the make up of the rest of your bag!

  Cleveland Halo's are the best.

I feel the Cleveland Halo (renamed HiBore in mid 2006) are the best value in hybrids available in the market. I use the 2i to replace my 5 wood and 3 iron. I also have a 4i which has replaced my 4 iron. These clubs are much easier to hit than traditional irons and fairway woods. Enjoy.

Best hybrid club I have used
Review created: 06/18/06

2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

I long ago dumped my 3 and 4 irons in favor of fairway woods. Until recently I was carrying 3, 5, 7, and 9 woods. I wanted to try a hybrid club, but I was inconsistent with every one I tried (Sonartec, Taylor Made, Callaway, etc.) I finally tried the the Cleveland HALO, and what a difference. For some reason, I just hit the ball better with this club. Not every shot is pure (I am a 12 handicap), but much more consistent than my fairway woods. I also want to mention that I hit the standard True Temper Dynamic Gold SL steel shaft much better than the graphite. Maybe not quite as far, but with much better accuracy. And straight is great!!! Also, the HALO is a bargain compared to the other hybrids I mentioned. I have now also dumped my 5 iron and use a 28 degree HALO. It won't be long until I have a bag full of HALOs.

  Cleveland Halo Hybrid Golf Club
Review created: 06/08/06

I have used the Adams hybrid clubs for several years. I decided to try the halo from Cleveland after reading about the club. I won the bid on ebay and I have to say this club is amazing. It is longer and easier to hit than the Adams idea. I liked it so much that I now have the 14 and 16 degree. I hit the 14 degree as far as I hit my 3 wood so I am thinking of not having the 3 wood any longer and perhaps carrying an extra wedge.

I'm a high handicap golfer who had never used a hybrid

before. Was just starting to play again and was using 15 year old clubs. Decided to see what the hybrid club was like and an eBay buy of a 2-3 year old design seemed like the right price to pay for that experiment. Took the club out and immediately noticed on the first swing at the driving range that I could get the ball up in the air and out fairly straight off the grass and fairly far with little effort and could do that consistently. I have no idea or opinion if this is the best hybrid. No idea if this is the right club to replace an iron for all golfers. I also bought (used on eBay) a 3i and 4i that seem to have the same characteristics of helping me make solid contact. I do know I am impressed enough with them that they have replaced my 2,3,4 woods and 2 & 3 irons in my bag.

  Best Club in my Bag!
Review created: 12/01/08

The Cleveland Halo 5i is by far the best club in bag. This club has the best sound when the ball launches off the club face and has the biggest sweet spot that you could ever imagine! Don't ever see me taking it out of my bag for any reason.

  Halo Hybrids
Review created: 10/09/08
by:
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

Cleveland Halo hybrids are definitely the easiest hybrids to hit that I have ever used (and I've used everything. I'm one of those guys that will just buy clubs and have lots of hybrids). I have the 0, 1, 2, and 3 halo hybrid. They are all effective for me. Easy to get stuff out of the rough (higher loft in the 3 is ideal). My swing is not the best (20 handicap) so an easy hitting club really does help me. The second shot on long par 5s is so important and pulling out a club that lines up easily and gives you confidence to hit a good and long second shot is extremely important. I play a lot (about 3 times a week) and have the ability to mishit anyhting (all hybrids are easy to hit but are just as easy to hit miles into the bush also). I just find the Halos are so forgiving and the sound and feel off the head are so responsive and sweet. I rarely mishit and even when I do the deviation left or right is not so pronounced (unless of course I was just pointing miles left or right). I highly recommend all Halos especially for high nadicappers. You can get really good halo hybrids of all lofts at good prices on ebay.

  Fairway Wood to Heavan
Review created: 10/06/08

I recently purchased a Clevland Golf Driver and fell in love with the balance and the feel. This fairway wood does not disappoint. The club face is smaller than I thought it would be but the way this club plays it was not a factor. I hit the ball longer and straighter with this fairway wood than I have in months with my old club.

Great club! Easy to hit and solid feel.

This club is great. Very solid and goes straight. I wanted a club that goes fairly low and straight. It carries about 200 - 220 and is sorta like the stinger that Tiger plays. Mine has an extra stiff shaft, which helps keep it low.

"The Best Hybrid On The Market"
Review created: 07/10/08
by:
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

I an an avid golfer and have had more problems then Carter had liver pills with my long irons. Can not hit a 3-6 in an iron. I decided to buy the Cleveland 3i ironwood since it was a deal here on eBay. For less that $70 i got a BRAND NEW Halo 3i and started to cut strokes immediately! SO the only logical thing to do was to start replacing the other "Abusive" iron in my bag so I found the 6i Halo and stole it from Dufferhead (who by the way is the best seller on eBay!) and now I have shaved a few more strokes with it. So on and so forth the 4i came soon after. I searched high and low for a 5i in the Halo but could not find the 28 degree 5i ANYWHERE!!! So the local golf dealer I visit often had a XLS Hybor 5i and I bought it brand new, fro a lot more money then I spent on eBay, but my god was it worth it. Really wuold like to have a 7 and an 8 in them, but good luck! Anyway to make a long story short. Buy from Dufferhead and buy these awsome Halo's. The best on the market!

Here I was, 70 pushing 71, still looking for the Holy Grail in clubs..A buddy suggested that I try his #5 Halo for a short 3 Par hole.. The next day I was on EBay looking for a seller. What a Club!! I can bend it right or left; can get serious distance with control and it feels SOOOOO GOOD.. The swing feeling, the feel at impact, everything.. My handicap even went down to 8 from 12..LIFE IS GOOD!!
Many many thanks to the Cleveland Co. club designers..

  Great club
Review created: 12/31/06

1 of 2 people found this review helpful.

I purchased this club for my brother. He only has Nike hybrids in his bag. Now he has this one Cleveland Halo, and if you asked him what his favorite club is, the answer would be the Halo.

He hits it from the rough, and from the fairway. He doesn't like large headed fairway woods, and this is just right. Not too under sized like the Nike's and not too large like fairway woods.

The shaft length on the Halo's are longer like fairway woods, not the typical hybrid club. This is a great club, great feel, with great results.

This is an excellent club.
