I demoed the Cleveland CG red at Hagan Oak golf store (awesome store by way)and fell in love with them. One: very forgiving, two looks great, three: feels great like forged club because of the insert (Gelback), and finally the trajectory and distance are perfect. I'm a +1 handicap and I've tried Taylormade R7 TP, Callaway X forged, Titleist 660 and 690, Mizuno MP-60, and ping I10. Those clubs are Ok, the R7 TP came close to it, but I'm sticking with the CG Red's. There is nothing that I don't like about the CG Red. Hope this help and good luck.

Very nice clubs. Love the soft feels and the look at address and launch of the ball off the sweet spot. Very best clubs I have ever had so far.

i love this iron set it's real forgiving on the mis-hits and feels great on the solid hits. the only problem is that for a players' iron, they don't give you enough feel as others do. you can't really feel the mis-hits and what went wrong. also you can't shape the shots at all, it's just straight shots, no fades or draws. if you try to control by taking off a little, it's very hard to do with this set. the look of the club is really good, it gives you the look of a players' iron without the glare of the sun getting in your eyes.

Great looking clubs.... I think these are for the "better" players. They are great clubs for the low handicaps. Very nice clubs by Cleveland.

Perhaps Cleveland's best club. Great for the 5 to 15 handicap player. Has a thin, but not too thin look from address. Good feel and ball flight with some forgiveness thrown in. Distance is above average. The only slight drawback for some may be that they are slightly heavy feeling.

I really like the irons. I needed the extra stiff shafts and the extra inch in length. The game improvement irons I was playing were not giving me what I needed. These irons were more what I was looking for but still have a little bit of forgiveness.

Cleveland CG Red Irons 4-pwThese are a great set of Irons. They feel great when you hit the sweet spot (as most do) but they let you know when you mishit the ball. The minimal offset helps me to keep my draw a draw instead of a hook. I would recommend these irons to golfers who don't slice the ball and feel confident in their ball striking ability.

I replaced my old Cleveland TA5 irons with these. I had the TA5's for nine years and they served me well. I never hit the CG Red's, but I had no doubt they would be a great replacement. Cleveland irons, in my opinion, are one of the most underrated and affordable irons on the market.
I have used the CG Red's for two rounds now. The top line in thinner than the TA5's and they are not as off set. Contact with these clubs is a remarkably different feel. These clubs feel so solid. No vibration on miss hits and the tour shafts seem to make the ball fly at a piercing trajectory.
I love everything about these clubs. The look, the feel, and the performance. I would recommend these clubs so any serious, mid to low handicapp golfer. Cleveland is quietly producing top notch clubs that certainly compete, and I believe, out perform some of the big boys!
