Good beginning book

I thought this was an overall good book. I liked the info on the chemicals in normal cleaning agents. The overall info for the natural cleaners were good. I did think it got a little repetetive, but it does just go to show you don't need 500 different cleaners to do the different jobs. I just think that idea could have been explained in a slightly more condensed fashion. Overall, I thought it had alot of good examples for a beginner. I like the use of essential oils, etc. I will definitely keep it in my "library" and refer back to it.

This book is very informative. Not only does it give you information on the hazzards of chemical cleaners but it gives recipes for safe natural alternatives that also work.

We have been borrowing a copy from a neighbor.. great stuff. already made our own laundry soap for little $$ and our own home made "soft scrub'.. My 13 year old is making a spray cleaner as I write this. Good safe and clean and inexpencive products !!!!

) This book teaches you how to make inexpensive cleaning supplies for your whole house. The author has tried each recipe herself and gives you estimates on prices for each one. The prices are a bit old but you can add a few cents and get the idea how much cheaper it is to make your own cleaning supplies. One thing I was struck by was how much more simple it is to make your own cleaing supplies and how old fashioned cleaning supplies can be just as good as new ones. Leave behind the chemicals and use what God gave us to clean our houses.

It's been over a month and I never recieved my order. I was really looking forward to this book and I also send the company a note last week and never recieved a reply back. I'm pretty disppointed.

Clean House Clean PlanetI bought this book on the recommendation of a friend who has become very aware of and concerned about the toxins we encounter in our environment on a daily basis. In addition to avoiding many cleaning products with strong and unpleasant odors, using the solutions in this book help produce cleaners with pleasant aromas, and are effective as well as very inexpensive.
The author describes exactly what she uses for each cleaning task, gives a specific recipe, estimates cost (although a bit outdated now) and also gives her opinion of how effective each product is compared to commmercial cleaners. Not all products are for everyone, but I have found it worth the time to make my own basic cleansers and would recommend the book for at least that purpose. They are effective and pleasant smelling. My cleaning person likes it as well, since she is not smelling harsh chemicals all day. In fact, I bought another book for her, and she is requesting that her other clients allow her to use the same products in their homes.
