A fun holiday trip down yesteryear lane!

I bought this DVD because it had the episode in which Rich Little used impersonations while recounting Dickens' classic tale, A Christmas Carol. Turns out, it is short, and nothing like his later HBO one-man version of A Christmas Carol. Never the less, this DVD was fun to watch.
It contains holiday skits, comedy, etc., taken from many years of the "Ed Sullivan Show" (originally entitled "Toast of the Town"). Many different celebrity guests are featured. The DVD is edited in such a way that it presents more of a collage, rather than whole presentations. Some of the material was cut short as one guest appearance would transition into another. I wish they hadn't done this, as I would have liked to have seen the entire presentation.
This is old TV, no frills, no special effects. The only attractions are the celebrities themselves. I for one, enjoy the old style. It's also fun to see how the sets and scripts changed from one generation to the next.
