A good and fun read, Classic American Airlines gives a good historical overview of the major U.S. air carriers with interesting pictures of their primary aircraft. I wish the author had been able to cover some of the regional lines like Ozark and Bonanza, but, space restraints are what they are. While there are other books that will give you detailed histories of specific airlines, their equipment, and their routes, this book only covers the highlights of a number of companies. All that said, I enjoyed Classic American Airlines and feel it's well worth the price.
