Clarity by Jimmy Eat World (CD, Jun-2001, Capital)

This is a more raw album by Jimmy Eat World (JEW). I believe it is their second album and shows that they are still immature in it. Not immature in the meaning that they are young, but immature in the musical stylings. The lyrics are not as good as their later albums (like "Futures") and the instrumentation is harder punk/ alternative rock too. The vocals don't come through as well either. However, there are a few good songs on this CD. If you can pick up a cheap copy somewhere, you should grab it. But I would not pay $10 for it.

I really like the passion that each Jimmy Eat World sings and plays with. Every person in the band shows passion. I especially love "Crush" , "table for glasses" , "Goodbye sky harbor" , and the best song they ever wrote : "For Me this is heaven"
The lyrics are deep and every song they wrote had some type of meaning behind it, but the songs dont necessarily have an agenda to meet, JEW's songs for the most part can mean what you want, can apply to different situation in your own life.
Not that you should or should do what anyone says, but sometimes its cool to think you not the only one with certain feelings about certain situations.
If you feel me on this you will like this CD... and Jimmy Eat World. (2001+ IMHO)

this is a holy grail of albums. Clarity is one of the best written albums i have ever heard. There will never be another J.E.W. album compared to this one. If you only buy one album from this band I assure you this is it..

I just like Jimmy Eat World's sound so I decided to try out this album. Even though it may not be their most recent, I enjoyed it just as much.

This item was in good condition and a happen to buy to cds from this person and they took of the shipping charge which made it cheaper for me. this shipping was also pretty fast as well.

I think this is one of the greatest albums ever recorded! Of all the Jimmy Eat world albums this is a must have, by far better than the rest

Jimmy Eat World is a very unique and amazing band. I have never ever seen or heard of a band that plays music the way they do...besides U2. They are amazing. Only people that can be able to hear, feel, and rock out to music are the only ones that will be able to understand the depths of Jimmy Eat World. Take plickplick22 for example, the one who has also written a review for this CD and other Jimmy Eat World CD's. Plick is from another world, doesn't understand music one bit. He may even say that we are all just walking in his world. He probably even thinks Van Halen and U2 or horrible. Me? I have been a musician since age 4 and have played every kind of music including classical. I know what music is and Jimmy Eat World IS music. Just trust me on this one. I have seen so many people become hooked to the music of Jimmy Eat World from just sitting in the passenger seat of my car on quick errands with Jimmy's Clarity CD or Bleed American CD in the radio. And just know that plickplick22 only likes the Futures CD from Jimmy Eat World, one of their newest. If anyone likes and only likes that one CD, please stop listening to Jimmy Eat World because you're ruining it. It's all about the roots that lead up to the Futures CD...just like Clarity. Don't forget about the Static Prevails and Jimmy Eat World/Jebidiah albums!
