      Eric Claptom Still Rocks

I give Eric credit for continuing to be a player through so much adversity. All the people in music & mentioned in the book admire Eric and think he is a pretty special guy. He is not the greatest writer but you get the message.
The years of Clapton's youth were wild ones. Everyone was doing drugs. Many were drinking. Young people like to party. Eric had plenty, even more, opportunites to party than most, he is only human. He made lots of terrible mistakes. And He has paid his dues for them. But he has matured and has continued to play. I would have loved to see more pictures of the what he describes as 'back in the day'. A must read for Clapton Fans, and for those unfamiliar with those times...if you're not a 'baby boomer' read this book and learn!

Fascinating Insight into a Pop Icon

I read this book in one sitting. Like in his peerless guitar playing, Clapton finds a groove with his storytelling and the result is the blues, plain and simple, beautiful and poignant. He unblinkingly chronicles his life, from "bastard son" to guitar God to quiet family man, leaving no stoned episode unturned.
