It may be the greatest American philosopher was Pogo when he said "We have met the enemy and he is us". Peter Krause is an accountant who is consumed with the events of the day. His demeanor is shaped by world events to the point of affecting his ability to function in daily life. He is convinced a neighbor is a terrorist. The authorities fail to give the matter the attention he feels it deserves. Krause decides to take matters into his own hands. Krause's dilemma is the one facing the world today. If to defeat the terrorists one must become a terrorist what is gained? Civic Duty will keep you on the edge of your seat and challenge you to look at all sides of the issue. More importantly it shows the benefits of being right may never overcome the costs. I feel it to be one of the most thought provoking movies I have ever seen. I will buy it.
