I just came back from Philadelphia and visited the city tavern. I got the honor of checking out the cookbooks there and they were all excellent especially this one. Kicked myself for not buying it so glad I found it on ebay! Highly recommend!!!!

) Love the book. It is a nice size to handle(not too small). The instructions are clear and detailed. But my favorite element of the book are the helpful hints and the history related to the food and the tavern.

This cookbook was purchased as a gift to a family member who shared a meal with us at the City Tavern. The recipes in it are dishes we ate at the restaurant. I am not familiar with all of the dishes in the book but I am sure my family member will be pleased with it. Also the price was right.
