2nd Skyhawk - both troublesome

I would love to give this watch an excellent rating. However, I have two Skyhawks, one stainless and one titanium. Both are giving me problems with setting the function using the crown. The pointer does not snap to the function position - there are 8 functions arranged around the bottom center dial just above the 6 o'clock position. When new, turning the crown would snap the pointer to the nest position crisply. Now there is some slop in the mechanism, the pointer lands between positions, and the function does not always match the position (e.g. when set to CAL or calendar, the function is TIME or something else). I've sent the watch in for repair, and the cost was nearly the same as buying a new one. The problem was diagnosed as a bent stem to the crown. Really? Both watches have the same problem then. Another defect is that the painted numbers and markers in the outter rings chips away little by little, leaving half of the numbers and markers painted, half unpainted. This happens within the first year of having a new watch. That said, this is the only watch I want to own, since I love the no-wind functionality and dual time zone ease of setting, as I travel quite a bit. My next step will be buying a newer model and have 3 watches.
