  Great Watch!!

I received this watch about a week ago and really like it. It is complicated but has a good manual to follow. I would not own a new watch without the atomic time adjust feature. You know that the watch is always on to the second. The Eco-Drive feature is also very nice as you never need to worry about a battery for this watch. I like the slide rule around the bezel for figuring out gas mileage. The watch is very large but fits my wrist very well. I like the looks and all the features. Another nice feature is the light and I would also never buy another watch without a backlight as this one has. The dual time zone is also nice if you live close to the time zone change and need to switch alot as we do. You can buy less expensive Citizen watches but none of them have the features this one does. Very nice watch for the price!!

  Excellent Watch

Excellent watch. I was looking at this particular watch (Citizen A-T JY0000-53E Skyhawk) for almost two years before I got. I also own a titanimum Blue Angels Skyhawk that I got in 2002. I love that watch too, but it got a little scratched up over the years. The face is larger on the new Skyhawk and that is a nice feature because it makes a little more of a statement. Definitely no regrets with my new watch. It's a little heavy but that's what I wanted and I really don't notice it when I am wearing it. The solar power is very nice because you never have to worry about batteries if you wear it every day. You just need to make sure it's exposed to the Sun from time to time. The watch has beautiful colors, looks complex, it is solid, has a light, and it is reliable. I love the design and it's just a nice time piece. The only other watch I really liked was the DZ7127 by Diesel but that uses a battery.

Citizen A-T JY0000-53E Skyhawk in Moscow
Review created: 11/03/09

I live in Moscow (for those who does not know where it - I inform - Moscow capital of the Russian Federation). The given hours I have got approximately one month ago. Before acquisition I have studied some the Russian reviews on the Internet about these hours. From the unique found review followed that in comparison with similar production Casio these hours heavy on a hand and very difficult for understanding of their work and adjustment. And nevertheless I have risked and have bought them. I will tell at once that I have not been assured of that that in Moscow synchronisation on a nuclear signal will work. This option here and the truth is not accessible.
Yes these hours big and heavy are a truth. But I cannot consider that they not convenient on a hand. By these o'clock quickly enough you get used.
It is at first difficult to understand a control system of these hours. But as soon as you study the instruction a little and look video explaining (a training disk is enclosed in a box with hours) as used these hours you will understand that all simply enough and conveniently.
Accuracy of a course of these hours impresses. I understand that in quartz chronometres technically easier than in a classical mechanical clock to receive a course split-hair accuracy. But these hours at me the error approximately 5 seconds in a month turns out that has impressed me. In general design of hours pleasant enough. There are also two probably negative the moment. The bracelet of hours has very much high quality though it is made in China. The declared depth of immersing in water of 200 metres confuses. These hours most likely cannot sustain depth of the declared depth of immersing in water. Anyway so it seems to me. The clockwork head has no condensing carving.
It is very happy with the given acquisition.

  Outstanding multi functional watch.
Review created: 09/10/09

Quite simply the best pilots watch out there. On practicality, functionality and price it slaughters its competitor (breitling navitimer).

Pros:
-Large easy to read face and hands- telling the time is easy as pie.
-UTC- brilliant for travellers
-Auto update atomic time- I leave my watch on and it still gets enough reception to update the day, date, calendar, and of course time.
-Multi functions- 2 alarms, chrono, calendar, slide rule.
-EASY slide rule- moves easily, easy to read and use.
-world time and dual time- easy to switch between hands and displays.
-back-light on screens and long lasting glow at night on hands.
-feels solid- matter of opinion but I like the weightiness of the watch
-eco drive and 5 year warranty!

cons:

only 3 cons I can think of:

-takes ages to recharge- literally days even under a good amount of sunlight before reaching full charge
-crystal glass not sapphire
- switching functions is a pain- the crown must come out 1 click- - its hard to do whilst being worn, 2 clicks enables editing functions like calibration so if you accidental pull out 2 clicks it takes ages to get back to a usable mode.

Overall- this is a better, more practical, better lookign and cheaper watch than a Breitling. I prefer this in every way to my Navitimer and therefore look out for my Navitimer on ebay some time soon.
