) I decided to purchase 'Kane', because it is a classic....not just because every-
body SAYS it is.
It was a pleasant surprise to find some directors' comments about the movie
included in the version I got. (TCM; Turner Classic Movies series ) Usually,
you only get 'special features' like this on DVD, not VHS video. It was not
colorized, but left in glorious black'n'white. (although, honestly, I do wonder
how it would play in color ??)
The movie itself I'd seen before, but a) wanted to see it again, & b) wanted
to own it for my personal collection. This is a movie that so dynamically spans
time and space with an excellent story, it can be viewed many times over
without a 'monotony-confrontation'.
