Surprisingly good sequel

Normally when my daughter wants to watch one of her Princess "fill-in-the-blank" movies I can barely keep from rolling my eyes when she asks if I will watch it with her. Ten minutes into the movie I was actually sucked in and enjoying it!! For once an animated sequel that can stand on it's own with a story line that carries on from the original without being a repeat or departing from the original so drastically that it changes the spirit of the original characters.
Whoever did the voice casting did a great job of re-creating the original supporting character voices to a "T". The animation was clean and fluid - not some junky computer generated with last decade's software junk.
The bonus was the main song of the movie sung by Hayden Planitiere (sp?). Observant watchers of kids movies will recognize her as the main character from the movie "Racing Stripes". Who knew she could sing too? (I mean really sing too..)
Great sequel - the whole family should enjoy it.
