Synopsis
The church mice carry out a convoluted plan to find a home for their new friend Percy, a stray dog.

When a stray dog named Percy wonders into the churchyard that Sampson the cat and his mice friends call home, they quickly welcome him into their group. Nonetheless, they are happy when a little girl named Polly plans to adopt Percy. Unfortunately, Polly's parents do not want a dog. Will Sampson and the church mice be able to think of a way to help Polly convince her parents that Percy is the perfect pet for them? Color illustrations accompany the text.
