Don't believe everything you read (in this book!)

I bought Chrysler Muscle as an addition to my rather exstensive Mopar and Hot Rod Library.I've been around Mopars for 30 years,my most recent and current cars being a '73 Cuda 340 and a '69 Charger 383.After devouring and digesting every piece of literature I could aqquire in that time,I've become somewhat of a "geek" when it comes to Mopars,my main focus being 68-74 B and E bodies.I decipher fender tag and VIN codes as soon as I see a car,and usually have production numbers down as well.So I really notice factual errors in print,as well as personal standards/preferences/peeves on "restored" cars, especially those in print. Some examples from this book; Sublime and Limelight were Dodge and Plymouth names, respectively, for lime green. This book has this fact mixed up. Mislabeled pictures-a photo captioned as a '71 GTX convertible is actually a '69 GTX convertible, correctly shown and labeled elsewhere in this book. And most any Mopar guy can tell you they didn't build any GTX convertibles after 1969!A red '69 Road Runner is shown twice, labeled onece as a '69,once as a '70.There's a photo of a red and white '69 Charger printed 3 different times, twice with the same caption! There's another picture of a hastily restored engine bay on a Hemicuda that, while an awesome car, wasn't really print worthy for a BOOK on the subject. There are several more errors but I think you get the idea. I'm glad I only paid 3 dollars for this book. I would reccomend Dodge and Plymouth Muscle by Anthony Young as a much better, though costlier alternative.
