Christy - Return to Cutter Gap (DVD, 2001)

I love this movie - a continuation from the TV show Christy, but only with different actors. This movie, the first in a set of three, kind of sets the background for the other two movies. I enjoyed how the poor mountain people lived among themselves happily without much material goods. They did without so much but had such precious lives. And I especially enjoy the love triangle of Christy, David and Dr. McNeil. Although I've read the book a hundred times, it's still interesting to watch which of the two men she chooses - which is not until the final movie.

In Return to cutter Gap you get a sense of the confusion Christy feels and of the many hints to her future. The airplane in this movie is a nice touch - the wonder on the mountain people's faces as they get to fly in this modern contraption is amazing.

I highly recommend this movie to families and to purests who enjoy movies that are historical and clean (no profanity except one 'dammit', and no sex or graphic violence), and who also like a well-acted, adventuresome flick.

The three Christy movies in order are: Return to Cutter Gap, A Change of Seasons, and A New Beginning. My personal favorite is the last movie. It's awesome!

What a delightful family movie. If only there were more movies like this that the whole family can watch and be inspired. I hope to see more Christy Movies

I enjoyed the Christy series but wanted to see more. Although the charters for the most part are different the story was there and I wanted to see it to the end. Christy comes back to Cutter Gap with her daughter and tells her about her life.

I was looking forward to the conclusion of the Christy TV Series. I ended up with another episode and nothing more. The actors were almost all different and even beyound that they were not believable. I guess I will have to break down and read the book, and leave it up to my imagination.

Disappointed in the new actors and actresses. The video was of good quality.
I enjoy watching the video, but would have enjoyed it much more if Kelly Martin had been in the lead. This was a great disappointment.

this was a great dvd and i was glad that they made this series and decided to finish it with continuing the story they started many years ago this is a movie you will enjoy watching if you like little house on the prarie or love comes softly series i would recommend that you get the whole series and watch them all in order to really enjoy the storyline from beginning to end.
