Christmas Yule Log (DVD)

I had the misfortune to have been in the hospital one Christmas. Being away from one's family & friends for the holidays was one of the most depressing moments of my life! However, while channel surfing, I ran into WGN's Christmas Yule Log. I have to say, it got me through this very difficult time!

I was pleased to see that the yule log was available on DVD & jumped at the chance to grab it! I must say, it will never really replace a real fireplace, but it is pretty darn close! This DVD features many options to heighten your enjoyment. You can have a low cozy flame or a roaring blaze. You can also add peaceful holiday music or even the sounds of a real crackling fire. I found this to be extremely relaxing after a tough day!

This is truly a worthwhile DVD to own whether you have a fireplace or not. If you do & don't want to be bothered with making one, this is an adequate fix. If you don't, this will give you a decent alternative. It's a great stress reliever too! Why listen to water running or the wind when you can enjoy the sights & sounds of a crackling fire?!

Before I was able to get the Yule Log on WPIX (A tradition that goes back for years) on my satellite, I would use this DVD to simulate a fireplace on Christmas morning. This DVD comes with 5 different sets of Christmas musi8c (arranged by theme). Each set has 6 songs. The DVD plays continuously and makes great atmosphere for the opening of gifts or a romantic evening with your special significant other.

Looks great on a 42 inch plazma, wish you could just have the cracking fire without the music. Over all a very nice product would recomend to anybody that either does not have a fireplace or ones that do that just don't want to mess with the fuss.
