The Christmas Tree is, in a way, a combination of a Christmas tale and Annie. It centers on a group of children in an orphanage run by the evil Mrs. Mavilda. The animation is very good, but the voice over doesn't always fit in with it. I also had a problem with Mrs. Mavilda's assistant who at one point is more concerned with saving a tree then finding her missing daughter. (Perhaps she knew Santa would save the day.) This video is a bit too sweet for my tastes.

This is a great little movie for children to watch the excitement of christmas and the children and the gifts is just wonderful for young and old to watch you need to buy it for your children or grandchildren or just for your self to feel young around the holidays

The Kids Like ItThis DVD replaced an old VHS of the same movie. To adults, this is a poorly-done story with few redeeming qualities. However, my kids liked it when they were very young and they still like it (now because they are nostaligic), and the video *is* intended for kids. I give it a "good" for that reason.
