A Christmas Memory/One Christmas/The Thanksgiving Visit
My Favorite of these three books is "The Thanksgiving Visitor" but all are well worth your time.
Truman Capote crafts a spellbounding account of his childhood experiences in rural America. The book is full of everday details that include his beloved sweet cousin Sook and the hateful mean bully that makes Capote's life miserable. So what happens when 30 relatives come for Thanksgiving Dinner and "the meanest human creature" is also invited?

Thank you for voting. If your vote meets our A Christmas Memory by Truman CapoteI attended a Soup Supper at our local Governor's home here in Iowa and was treated to a reading of "A Christmas Memory" by a local actor, Joseph Leonardi. He did such an excellent job it peaked my interest in reading the book myself. Also, two other great stories are including in this book all three by Truman Capote, "One Christmas" and "The Thanksgiving Visitor". I enjoyed all three and think they are just the type of story a Grandfather or Grandmother should read to their Grandchildren.
