Christmas Eve (VHS, 1994)

I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS MOVIE FOR YEARS. ONE OF LORETTA YOUNG'S BEST. A WONDERFUL STORY ABOUT FORGIVENESS. ONE OF MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY FILMS. THIS MOVIE ALSO DEMONSTRATES LOVE IN ACTION WHEN LORETTA AND HER BULTER FEED THE HOMELESS. A WONDERFUL EXAMPLE FOR ALL OF US TO FOLLOW.

This was a movie for my mom and she was thrilled to get it. We had been looking for it everywhere and almost gave up hope. I am glad she found it and enjoyed it throughly.

I've loved this movie since I saw it originally on television. Unfortunately, they didn't continue to air it after the 80's. I wish this movie was available on DVD but I'll settle for seeing it again on VHS. Sadly, the VHS copies of Christmas Eve are getting harder to find.

If you love Christmas movies and tear-jerkers, you'll love this movie.

I brought the 1987 NBC TV-movie because it's a good sentimental movie and it's not available on DVD's. It's a combination of 'A Christmas Carol' and the TV-movie 'The Gathering', in which a lady wants to see her grandchildren for a possible final Christmas while battling with her Scroogelike son who hates her giving out her time and money to the homeless. Though it's sappy and predictable, it does leave the viewer to what Christmas is all about. The only thing I didn't like about it is the editing; where the sketch drawings, that were used in indicate that a commercial break was coming, were cut out and merged with the next segment of the movie. Despite those omissions, I'm glad I found and brought it.

I remember seeing this made for TV movie with Loretta Young years ago and kept missing the repeats on TV. Although the quality of this VHS wasn't too good, I was happy to see this heartwarming story again.

Years ago, movies were made to simply inspire, give a person a warm and fuzzy feeling and just be enjoyable. This is one such movie.

Starring Loretta Young and Trevor Howard, this is a classic story of the Grandmother who is ill and needing her family around her. But circumstances caused them to be scattered to all parts of the country. She struggles to find a way to bring them all back to see her for Christmas.

Not available on DVD, this heartwarming story only exists on VHS and is very rare to find. If you do find it, cherish every moment because it is a one-of-a-kind.
