This cartoon version of the original 1938 "A Christmas Carol" uses the original Scrooge, Alistair Sim as the lead voice. Ever so fortunately, Sir Michael Redgrave (father of Vanessa & Lynn Redgrave & granfather of Vanessa's acting daughters, Natasha & Joley Richardson), provides that wonderfully "Queen's English" narrated diction. If not familiar with Sir Michael Redgrave's corpus of films, perhaps just listening to his beautiful narrative diction during this film will entice you to one of my favorite films of his: "Thunder Rock," which is also a ghost story that, like Dickens' story, is not particularly scary or spookological~ Review ID: 10000000009729896 Was this review helpful?
