A Christmas Carol (DVD, 2005, Sensormatic)

I am so greatful you have this movie on DVD!!! This is my dads favorite Christmas movie and I have looked every place in town for a copy but had no luck!! Well until now thanks to you!! My dad will be so happy when he opens this up on Christmas eve night!!! Thank you and also thank you for the fantastic price!!!!!! Mary

If you only get one version of A Christmas Carol. Get this one. It's by far the best one out there. The acting is outstanding. You absolutely have to love the ghosts. It's a Christmas movie that's not out of place being watched any time of the year. Well worth the effort and expense to purchase and watch. A real keeper.

This is a great movie based on Charles Dickens' Christmas Carol. There were some events added in the movie not in the original book: When Ebenezer meets his father outside the school and his father is mean to him, and also why his dad was mean-blamed Ebenezer for the death of his wife. Good acting.

I liked Ghost of Christmas present, Woodward did an excellent job, and again things were added to enhance the story. Liked also when Woodward said "They both spell doom." rather than just the male denoting that.

I have watched every Christmas Scrooge movie I know, and I must state that although many are very good my all-time favorite Scrooge is George C. Scott. I believe his portrayal to be true to Dickens and the most accurate. I'm not going to write any spoilers for those who haven't had the pleasure to see this movie or read "A Christmas Carol." But let me say the cast is well-chosen. Each character is played well... even those with only one line. The setting is remarkable, and you feel as though you have stepped back to a time long ago.
I own the VHS version, and this year it tended to flip a bit in certain scenes. So I decided to purchase the DVD version, and it is stored safely to enjoy next year and for the years to come. It's a movie enjoyed by the whole family... and even throughout the year we might recall a favorite quote from the movie in conversation. We all smile in recognition as to how such a classic can still be felt in this modern world.

It was a Great movie. It was a Great price. The delivery was very Timely. The movie is a classic Christmas movie and one you are sure to enjoy. Definitely a family movie.

I bought it to add to my christmas dvd collection. Its one of those christmas shows that doesn't get viewed on tv during the holiday season very much.

This is the very best version of A Christmas Carol. George C. Scott IS Scrooge! His craggy face is perfect for the role. Edward Woodward as the Ghost of Christmas Present is fantastic as well. The costuming and images of Dicken's era England are worth watching it for.

George C. Scott makes a very good scrooge. This film was shoot on location in Salsbury England. The effects are very realistic and the acting is of superior ilk.

The product was what I ordwered and expected. The paypal processing was a bit long, I saw an e check was used and I did not really follow up on it; that lengthen the process and I only attribute that to Paypal not the seller. Overall good experience.

It came very quickly- great service from the seller. I would buy from him/her again. But I would love it even more if shipping charges were less expensive.

This is my favorite Christmas Carol adaptation and since I only had it on VCR tape....and no VCR...I HAD to have it on DVD!!

I always loved watching "A Christmas Carol" when I was growing up and found that I only had the movie on vhs. Therefore, I wanted to find a copy on dvd to have in case my vhs broke considering most people only have dvd players now.

"A Christmas Carol" teaches one that the season is about giving and how to be thankful as well. It's a wonderful story!

Arrived in good shape and played very well. I have always liked the timeless tale of Scrooge and this is no different. I first saw this version as a child and have had fond memories of it since. I am well pleased with overall product. Thank you.
