Classic illustrated by impressive artist

I bought A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens - first edition, first print September 2006 - because I loved the illustrations P.J. Lynch did for this great classic. Some of the booksellers in Britain are advertising this first edition, first printing of the book for over £100 now and I paid considerably less than that on Ebay so I am very happy.
When I visited Zurich in early December 2007 there was a stack of these books in the front window and when I returned the next week they had all sold out.
I feel it is a great investment in a timeless classic and when I look at all the different editions on the shelf, this is the one I love and it is because of the illustrations!
P.S. I thought I had purchased a first edition at a London airport in December 2007 (I was assured by an employee of that store that it was). However, although it was issued a different ISBN number, this was actually considered the third printing for this book according to the publisher but I am happy to have this as well because the third printing includes several separate prints in addition to the book itself.
