Perfect for that long drive home for the holidays

Patrick Stewart voices all the characters and even some mechanical sound effects with his versatile voice in this reading which would do Dickens proud. Far more engaging and lively than the made-for-TV version starring Stewart as Scrooge, who really comes across in this audiobook at his bastardly best.
My wife had been borrowing the library copy of this audiobook each year at this time for the past three years or so, but that copy has since gone AWOL, forcing us to look on eBay for our own. I encourage everyone reading this to seek out a copy - it is so much better to listen to in the car than a bunch of idiot DJs and barking dogs.

So disappointing...
) Vocal quality is excellent, but the overall CD is BORING!!!! Instead of using a real bell, the narrator pronounces, AD NAUSEUM, "da-ding, da-ding, da-ding" many times over! It is painful to listen to this for more than 5 minutes. What a sad waste of money...
