I bought this as a Christmas present for my 10 year old daughter. She loved the movie "Kit Kitteredge" and I know she will love this book.

This book relates growing up in Indianapolis, Indiana during the depression years. The characters lived on a street I'm familiar with and their lives centered around landmarks in that city; some still in existance and others gone. That was the biggist drawing card for this fiction. The story was interesting, too.
I purchased this copy for a friend who also resided in this city during her growing up years, just as I did.
