Michael Douglas delivers an outstanding performance as the Director of a chorus line inside "A Chorus Line." It's like a mise en scene of mirrors that have never ending images in them the more I look into them. No one particularly stands out in the show as a star, but Douglas (Zach) which is probably a credit to the actual choreographer, Jeffrey Hornaday, who must have guided the chorus line into behaving as a tight unit rather than a bunch of segregated gypsy dancers all jockeying for favor, position, and recognition.
Based upon the longest running Broadway musical, winner of 9 Tony Awards, the Pulitzer Prize, and 3 Oscar nominations, this DVD version doesn't let me down one bit. It's as great on screen as in the theater.
Having been a chorus line dancer myself for many years, "A Chorus Line" from cattle calls to draining rehearsals, and finally to performances is as true to a gypsy dancer's life as it gets.
Though it was rated PG-13, there's no reason why it shouldn't be PG and pure entertainment for the whole family. Gather round and watch one of the finest chorus lines ever.

The stage show was awesome, and the movie on dvd just as good.
Wonderful musical with some great talent. Have watched it several
times, and will watch it several more.

This is a great movie for anyone who loves music. We taped this movie about 20 years ago, and our kids loved it. When I saw it on ebay, I had to get it. Now because of the time we live in, it seems a little corny, BUT it is still
wonderfully entertaining. I'm hoping to see the Broadway show this year. I hope it holds true to the movie.

The DVD was new and of good quality, but it took over a month for it to be sent to me. The company that sold it to me was very friendly and assured me that it would get to me eventually.

I was very disappointed with this video. It was sealed and shrink wrapped, but the quality was poor. The video had streaks through most of it and the audio even at max was very faint.

This movie is one that I had seen years ago and thought I would love to add to my DVD collection.
However, I did not remember that there were so many times that a particular curse word was used. (specifically G-d) Because that I did not enjoy this as much. The songs are at once funny, heartfelt and at times risque'. If you can get past the cursing, good movie.

It is a wonderful version of a great Broadway musical. Fun to watch and sing along with! It is no longer shown on cable or available to rent, so I decided to own my own copy!

Another EXCELLENT transaction and the movie came very fast.
I have always LOVED the movie A Chorus Line. I had it on VHS but when I got my dvd player I needed the movie on dvd so I bought it. At first I wasn't wild about the wide screen version but once I got used to it I liked it pretty good and the great thing with dvds is they don't have tape to mess up.

) I have loved this movie since it came out and I've watched it for the last 15 years on a VHS copy that was made from an HBO showing on a bad TV edited for full screen! (YUK!) Now I see it CLEARLY, sharp with perfect color AND widescreen!! I'm seeing shots and people and backgrounds I've never seen before!! This movie is a must see for anyone who likes dancing, cause the dancing is out of this world, or music, cause the songs and music here are great! Or anyone who likes musicals.... this is a fabulous movie and I really wish I could see it in the theatre!! No wonder it ran so long!! Or is it still running???? If not, it should be!!! :-)
