Chop Shop by Tim Downs (2004, Paperback)

This Nick Polchak is such an interesting and believable character; you could see him easily in today's world. Along with the other characters in this novel, Sarah has a good / not-so-good role to play. The suspense and surprise as the story breaks is head spinning. I wouldn't have guessed that the culprit would turn out to be who it was that tallied plot and then ended it. (I have to be brief so as not to ruin it for the next reader.) It is a page turner, similar to Frank Peritti, but all his own -- Tim Downs. I am looking forward to his next bugman novel. I was hooked after reading "First the Dead" and you will be too..!
