Hannah Swenson, owns The Cookie Jar, in Lake Eden, Minnesota. She finds Ron LaSalle, the delivery man from the Cozy Cow Dairy dead from what she thinks are by her Chocolate Chip Crunchies! Determined not to let her cookies get a bad reputation, she sets out to hunt down the killer. The suspects include the high school football coach who's wife has been seen with Ron and Max Turner, who owns the Cozy Cow. Lake Eden's prodigal son, Benton Woodley has returned to the town and there is a mysterious Mr. Harris who wants to buy the dairy, but then disappears! Hannah has a lot on her plate in this first mystery!
Ms. Flukes books are fun, easy cozies. Just "sweet" stuff that makes for a good read. Delicious recipes are a bonus!

excellent reading with a bonus
) Excellent light murder mystery reading. The story is entertaining, with delightful characters. A bonus feature is the addition of delicious recipies for the dishes that are mentioned in the book. You get a murder mystery and a recipe book all in one. I intend to read the whole series of these books and have started a collection of her recipes.

Chocolate Chip cookie murderI love Joanne Fluke books, so much so that I've now got them all! I love her FOODIE character Hannah Swensen and can't help wondering which man she'll eventually choose, though I want her to have both!! Great mystery and great recipes (I have yet to try but will!) Highly recommend this book and her others if you want to treat yourself to a great cozy mystery! Grab a cookie and milk and enjoy!!!
