Chinese Jump Rope by Anne Akrs Johnson (1997, Hardcover)

I was buying this item as a Christmas gift for my daughter and pressed the buy it now button, giving me a couple of weeks to get it. To my surprise, nor did I read anywhere in the sellers description that this item could be on back order. I do not think it is fair to think after paying for the item right after winning and hold up my end of the deal, that they can put an item up for a buy it now, when they don't really have the item to ship out. Of course a week later is when they tell me it is on back order and that I can cancel my order if I would like to. Believe me if my daughter didn't want it as much as she did, I would have canceled. It ends up that I don't get my item until after Christmas. 3 weeks after ordering! Then it is shipped in a very large box instead of an envelope with first class. I may have gotten it a little faster at least. As a seller myself, I pride myself on getting buyers items out quickly and would never sell someone something I didn't have on hand. It would be nice if everyone would ship items in a timely mannor becasue you know they would want the same for themselves! The only reason I didn't give them the lowest rating is becasue they did contact me(late), but better late than never, but I will not do business with them again!

I bought the Chinese Jump Rope with book for my daughter. I remember spending a lot of time using one as a child. The pictures on the book are easy to understand. I did think the book might have more rhyming songs that I can almost remember playing. Good value. Almost purchased from a toy website, found it cheaper on ebay.

The product is Great. My daughter loves it. The description was perfect. It was exactly what I was looking for. Very prompt shipping which was wonderful.

Enjoy watching my kids in the driveway with their freinds having hour of good clean fun! Bought it because when I was a child I rember the games we played in the schoolyard, havn't seen it in years.

There states in the additional item description that rope are included, but they are not. I now have a little girl who saved her own money for this with a book and no ropes! Very upseting, and misleading.

Ebayer writes the product description as --"Gift-Quality book; some minor wear not affecting overall quality of book". The stock picture shows book and rope together. When emailed about the book being provide, Ebayer writes back --It was clearly advertised as used. Please refer to the ad. The Ebay pictures are stock pictures that don't reflect the actual image of the offered book. Sorry it had no rope." You would think that seller would provide an actual picture of the merchandise sold...BUYERS BEWARE !!!

I like that this item can provide hours of fun and you can do sooo many things with it. I remember playing with it as a kid, from doing games with the hands or using our feet, from 2- endless players. I decided to buy my daughter this because it is a healthy toy. I dont like to have my child sit in front of tvs and we are an active family also this is something I myself at 30 yrs of age would play with my daughter and enjoy!

seller was rude by not responding back.did refund money after a dispute was put on this item .will never use this ebay seller again

The book was in okay condition as it said in the description. I had the impression that the book came with the ropes. The picture has the two jumpropes pictured in it. It was very misleading and I have no use of the book without and jumpropes.

Purchased this for my oldest daughter because her and some friends really enjoy jumping and expanded into the chinese jumping area. The ropes are very forgiving - not stiff to damage easily or trip up the girls. The accompanying book has very good illustrations for basic up to complex maneuvers...Very good purchase and gift for the holiday season
