Five women have turned up missing in small town Cleary, North Carolina.

Lilly Martin is in Cleary, to close the cabin owned by her and her ex-husband. While heading off the mountain in a blizzard she spins out of control and hits a stranger, Ben Tierney. Because of the strength of the storm and his injuries they have not choice but to wait out the storm together in the cabin.

Ben has been in Cleary off and on for a while, but no one knows why. He is a man of mystery who has connections with the missing girls.

Will the FBI and local police be able to track down the kidnapper before it's too late for Lilly?

I'm fairly new to Sandra Brown's books, but I am an avid reader averaging 4 novels a week. This book was mostly enjoyable but at times I felt like I had to drag my way through. The good part about the book was that it had many "weird" characters who kept you guessing and guessing throughout the book. By the way, I LOVE that in novels. The other hard thing with this book for me was that I really get tired of reading books about people who get stranded together.

  One of her best.

This book is definitely one of her best yet. I'm not too fond of her books that are only romance but that's nothing about her writing. I don't like any plain romance books. It has to have a little mystery and/or suspense or fantasy involved. Most of Sandra Brown's books do. That's what makes her one of my favorite writers.

Sandra Brown has captured the attention of the reader with a simple yet elegant suspense. Is the killer really trapped in a snow bound cabin with another potential victim? Quick read and good plot twists.
