Pretty Light weight..
Seems like the movie keeps searching for something profound to say, and keeps coming up short. I did not like the attempt to "serious" up the movie by adding some gratuitous violent fight scene, it just was unnecessary. Do finish the movie though, because Alan Thicke's five minute performance at the end where he explains what is happening to the boy, in a drunken stupor, is worth it.
