Despite some questionable acting and god awful 70's clothes, this movie still builds a great atmosphere. This is one of Bob "A Christmas Story" Clark's first movies, and boy is it overlooked; even by horror fans. I got this because I had heard the name before, and was curious whether it was good or not. I have to say, it surprised me. If anyone reading this has seen Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Zombie, and other films about the un-dead (of equal quality) to death, then I highly recommend giving this one a look. This DVD itself is pretty bare, with only a trailer, photo gallery and bios. I can't complain though. The only downside to the film is that it has a fairly slow build-up; but it's worth it.

I think the best thing on seeing a movie after many years is WHAT IT DID TO YOU!....Why did it stay with you?! Why, do you remember, with a smile? >
{I might add}...HOW;"GREAT IT WAS"!..Even now if it is "dated" ie;> SLOW!, Some films endure time, some ?...well...> SMELL!!!! "Children"... endured!: Hokie, and sick satire by the covenant'leader'/guide, of the swamp trip, YET;
Still a classic of cult fims that many newer Horror fans shall enjoy!.
" Goodnight!...;WhatEVER you are!"

  Great movie but it is an old 70's style
Review created: 04/18/09

It was a classic B rate 70's movie , however what sets it apart is that the people can actually act. Plus the main characters pants are freaking awesome :) and his cool orange shirt. Fighting Zombies in 70's style .

Back in the 70's my older sisters took me to see this with their friends. My sisters took their girl friends also. The friends took their little brothers, and that day we all became friends. The friendship lasted for years. Only myself and another are left the others had died.
When I seen this movie I had to see it again. Well when viewing it the appeal it had that day in the 70's was no longer there. This movie sucked big time. There Was to many references to cult/satan for me. I can not believe my sisters took their little brother to watch this crap.
