Children of Men (DVD, 2007, Full Frame)

I heard many negative reviews of this movie prior to purchasing it but I decided I wanted to see it anyway because of the concept and Clive Owen. However, it was a messy, unnecessarily gloomy movie. It was never really explained how the baby would help to save/change the world and the radicals who wanted to keep the baby did not reveal how that would help their cause.

Waste of money and time and left me feeling like I had lost precious time.

Wait for it on cable.

This is a great movie! it has all the elements you could want in a movie. The idea is great and it doesn't dissappoint! Highly Recommended!

Based on a novel by P.D. James, this is a dramatic view of the near-future. This story focuses on the world comming to an end due to women being unable to bear children. Cuarón directs a great cast which includes a fantastic performace by Clive Owen. This is an action packed thriller that acts more like a chase movie but it works so well!

I looked for this movie because of how great it is. This is a story that goes into the modern civilization if we were not able to have kids and humanity was going to end. Clive Owen Shines in this movie and if you have not seen this movie you have to! The scenes are spectacular and the supporting cast is unmatched. Watch it today is what Big Dirty Says!

This movie is about the bleak future of the world. The story begins in the year 2027 where the youngest person in the world has died. He was 18. After infertility began plaguing the world fewer and fewer babies were born until the world became so chaotic that world war broke out and only Britain remained. This is a incredible vision of apocalyptic proportions. It captures the essence of incivility in mankind. I recommend it to anyone and everyone. Excellent movie.

I was a little disappointed in this film first of all I can't see a drunken lout being any kind of hero..second the action in this film was too extreme..constant running and screaming I couldn't make head or tales of who was who..Film starts out with the post appopolyptic I believe 2027..bombings and murders seem to be going on everyday..around 2008 (yes our time now) Women became barren..all execept a random few..in walks the drunks ex she asks him in a not so nice way to see a pregnant Girl safely across the border...did I mention this all takes place in England..so across the border probably means the US..in steps the bad Guys and all hell breaks loose..I saw this film through to the end, but I wont do that again..don't waste your time or money if you're planning on renting or buying this turkey!

This movie was so good! It was original, well played, and SCAREY but in that "it COULD happen" way. I recommend seeing this if you haven't before. REAL good

After watching this movie at a theater, I knew it was a must have. The storyline makes you think about how the world interacts. The ending leaves your imagination running.... possible sequel.

This film is frightening, yes there is a lot of violence, but that is not what is frightening, it's the reality of what could and almost is true right now!

The actors are mainly well known, but cast in such a way, that they don't become all consuming, you don't watch this and think so and so was good, you finish watching this and you sit and think! I am still thinking and telling others about this important "docu-film" three weeks atfer watching it.

The way it has been captured on film by the director and film crew is astounding, at points you feel you are there, well in ways we are, 20 years is not long into the future at all.

I heard someone call it "Bladerunner" for the 21st century, I actually feel it's more than that, watch it and you tell me!

I can only hope that people read this and understand how much of a waste of time it is to watch this movie is !!!!!!!!!!!!!I original Concept was good ,but was this a total waste of time, within my life !!! This movie is the worst thing I've had the mispleasure of wasting two hours of my life. !!!!!!!!!!!

The novel by P.D.Williams is a great story, but this movie is a bit off base from the book. The hipe of having Julian Moore in the movie and then killing her off in less than 15 minutes.. Well that possible explains the whole movie. The filming is good, the plot is what brought me into seeing this movie, but the ending the middle and the beginning of the film SUCKED!!!


!!!!!!!!!!! Clive Owens was rumored at one time to be up for best actor for this role..OMG.......Well he plays a half@$$ role in a horrible film. I guess I'm not like most of the people who have seen it.. A close friend thought as others it was good, but I peronally thought it was a waste of time and money to make...

NOT WASTE YOUR TIME RENTING.. and DEFIANTLY DON'T BUY IT!!!!

The movie was ok. It was a little dark for my taste. I love Clive Owen and not knowing whether or not he lived was not satisfactory to me.

Children of Men

I had heard some negative things about Children of Men, but I must say that I really enjoyed it. Clive Owen is fantastic. This movie isn't chock full of action but it has a great story and an amazing cast.

Worth Buying?: I wouldn't watch it more than once, but it's a really good single watch.
