Chicken Little (DVD, 2006, Widescreen)

What a great family DVD from Disney! We, Mom (43) and Dad (44) and DD (7) can sit and watch this over and over and not get bored. Not only is the story funny and entertaining with comedy geared toward children it also has a lot of jokes that adults get too. The music just adds to the whole experience.

The best part of this DVD is the story which teaches children that if you try you really can do it. I know, we've heard that so many times before. But this is accomplished in a surprising turn of events that is really unexpected.

If you're in need of some fun, come on over to our house while we're watching this DVD. You'll hear us belting out songs like "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" and "We are The Champions". OK maybe it won't be fun for you listening! But join in singing and let your feathers down.

This movie wasnt something I expected to be to impressed by, but it actually was pretty funny. The kids will really like it, the characters are rather silly, and the story of chicken little is full of great morals for them to learn from. This is obviously all my opinion, as it is my review, but this is a great movie, completely appropriate for little children. There is no questionable language and really no off-color humor. It is very funny and the animation will keep the little ones very interested. Children especially seem to love watching animated animals and this movie delivers.

Unfortunately, I bought 6 DVDs from a seller who turned out to be a big scammer. I ended up getting all 6 dvds 3 weeks later, and none of them were viewable because they had been purpously and blatantly tampered with.

Ebay (half.com) was wonderful in returning my money, but not after feeling very stupid for falling for a scam. Always read the reviews carefully - if there are more negative than positive, don't buy. Also, check to see who the positive reviews are coming from. This is easier to do when there are not that many reviews, as in this case.

This Movie is so cute. My son loves this movie .What I love about this movie is the meaning of Chicken Little trying to get his father to believe in him. All of the things chicken little does to try and get his father to see it. Of course he does at the end of the movie. Very Funny some of the time but really great for children.

I purchased the Chicken Little DVD and it was not what I expected, I was sent a burnt copy with added film bonuses. I was unable to play it in my DVD player or computer. I was really disappointed with my purchase.

Well my grandchildren loves this movie. They always want to watch it over and over. My grandchildren never sits still and watch a movie but they sure like to sit down and watch this movie.

I bought the movie because of the price. It's a great childrens movie. The only thing I didn't like about the DVD I received was it was listed as Disney, when I received it, it was a DTS and the only thing I can do is watch the movie. I can't access the special features, scene selection or anything.

One of the best animated movie of the year. Great for adults and kids alike. You dont have a be a kid to find a humor on these movie, adults can have good laughs guaranteed. Chicken Little, the main character of the movie is a small chicken that is trying to make a name in his neighborhood, have to meet high expectation of the society knowing that his daddy has major sports achievements and very know/popular in their community. Chicken Little being small have a hard time measuring up what his daddy have achieve to gain the same trust and respect of the society that his daddy have acheived. He tries numerous times, but he convienced no one and ended being the laughing stock in their town. With no one believing him including his daddy, her remains strong despite being small and do the things he strongly believe is right, and still try to save and protect his neighborhood. In the end, it was a happy ending, he had proven everybody wrong about what everybody thinks about him, and he become a hero and a savior of their community.

Now if your a 3 year old this movie, just like all the others it's a hit (Nate my 3 year old nephew just loved it) he laughed at things I didn't really think were funny but thats a 3 year old, He loved the Chicken little character and now believes all chickens are like that, so from a 3 year olds point of view it was good, but he isn't as interested in watching it 20 times like "Cars" or "Toy Story". Nate is our best critic if a movie doesnot hold his interst then it is not worth getting.If it has motercycles or rockets in it and animals that talk and act silly he wants to watch it.(as all 3 year olds do,I hope)This one was full of action with the rockets and all the motorcycles etc so it kept him somewhat amused.

Now my opioion

Chicken Little marks an important first for the Disney company. It's their first fully in-house developed CGI feature after they announced the closure of their long standing award winning traditional hand drawn animation studio. Setup in a time period where Pixar's distribution contract was up in the air, this was Disney's attempt at creating a CGI masterpiece. Sadly where this film lacks is the exact area where Pixar succeeds and that's interesting and engaging story telling aimed primarily at kids but still fun for their parents and other adults who might have to take their kids back to the theater three or four times.

It's not offensive or painful to watch for adults but it's pretty unmemorable. Even though most of us adults have heard and remember the story.
Although we only really watch these movies for the enjoyment of the kids right so I guess sitting through this was fine I have had to sit through worse.As adults we expect the animations at its best and this just wasn't up there like the others
Simply put, an animated movie for the kids more then the parents.

I purchased Chicken Little for my 4 year old grandson who loves the movie. It arrived within a few days, brand new in a sealed package, just as described. He was thrilled when I gave it to him. His mother had bought him a copy previously, but somehow it got lost when it was loaned to a friend so he was very happy to get another one. We turned it on immediately and watched the entire movie. The price, including shipping/handling was still $8 cheaper than in the retail stores.

I purchased this DVD for my grandson, who is 4 years old. He loves the film and has watched it many times. I had a difficult time purchasing a copy locally that wasn't really expensive, and feel lucky to have found this one.

i didn't like the movie. it couldn't keep me interested in the story. I was very dis-appointed. I didn't think the annimation was very good. And I thought the the story line was rediculous. I thought it was the dumbest show I have ever watched. But I did buy it for my grand-daughter.

This was a breath of fresh air. My children (4, 4, 6) sit through this movie everytime. Peace and Quite for a couple of hours. The movie has a great message and it holds the attention of little ones. Music is great too! A must have in your DVD Collection, you will play it over and over!

I recently purchased the Chicken Little DVD off of a power seller on Ebay and ended up having to threaten legal suit to get my money back for it and Lady and the Tramp. The movies were copied DVD's. I puchased them as a gift and was very embarrased when the recipient asked me where I had purchased them at and told me they were blurry and the jackets on the holders were smeared and did not look like the ones in the stores. I contacted the seller who said they were new from "A" manufacturer. Not "THE" manufacturer. I will not purchase DVD's off of ebay again.

The transaction itself was smooth and shipping was quick, However, this movie lasted about (2) weeks and then stopped playing. It freezes! I did not contact the seller because I didn't feel that someone who sold in masses would replace it. Plus it was a copy, not an original.

I am a 20 yr old male and I found this movie hard to watch, not that funny and very childish. Very suitable for kids. But probably not something to rent for an older crowd as it tends to jump the "should I stay up and watch it or go to bed" boundry. All in all if I had the chance I would take the 1hr and a half of my life back that I wasted that night. Thanks and if you do watch it, I hope you like it.

i'm sure it's a bootleg and the additional features it's supposed to have before and after the credits just aren't there. if i'd known i would not have bought it.

What i liked about this movie is it has lots of songs to sing along to,lots of funny parts to laugh at and has excellent animation. I decided to buy It because of the story line and also my kids have seen this movie before. Great for the collection.

it was a great add on to my colection and its one of disneys best movies so it would be a great thing if you would buy it for your kids or for your colection

I looked for a specific DVD online. I liked that the item was factory sealed. I was able to find the widescreeen format. Upon receipt, the item looked retail fresh. The item was new quality and had no defects.

I LOVE this movie. SOOOO cute and adorable! My sons eyes don't leave the screen for 1 second while it's on. Top notch childrens movie!!!!
