For the people that have used or own authentic CHI hair straighteners, you know that you are purchasing a quality item. Some consumers actually prefer the 1" to the 2" either way you can't go wrong. You may have purchased one off eBay that you didn't think worked quite as well as the one you tried in a store or at your friend's house. This is because you've probably purchased a fake. In order to make sure this doesn't happen to you be wary of the country of origin that you are buying from. If you are buying from China or Korea (or even if the item location says United States but the description is in broken English) there is a very likely chance the item is a fake. Be sure to check the seller's feedback to see what previous buyers have said about the items they've purchased and also to find out if the seller has a long-term history in the hair care niche. Do your research, buy from a credible seller with outstanding feedback and just remember, even though it looks like a stellar deal lots of times the old adage is true - "You get what you pay for". Works well with my hair. I needed a reliable flat iron that wouldn't make my hair smell like burnt wood.

Its really big, so its really only for those with long, thick, unruly hair. Great buy. Dependable. Heats up fast.

I love this straightener! It heats up quickly, works fast and makes my hair super silky. Love it! Not to mention that I got it for a STEAL! It's $250 at the store, which I think is a ridiculous amount of money for a hair straightener, and I got it for $70 on Ebay. Great experience!

This is so awesome, I have bought flat irons before, but my hair is so thick so they didn't work...I just love it!!!

Iron gets super hot making ironing hair a breeze.. The thickness of the iron is very nice also. Seals hair and leaves it silky and very prety.

I've used the Chi Turbo 2" before when I had longer hair past my shoulders. I was impressed with the results. Since my hair is also thick and wavy, I was skeptical at first, thinking that I would have to expose my hair to the hot ceramic plates more than a few times and thus create damaged looking hair and unhealthy frizz. The actual results were phenomenal! A couple of passes with this iron and the wide plates covered more hair in less passes resulting in less damage and quicker results!

I love it (I have curly hair and usualy use iron while my hair is still a little bit wet - for me it's hard to use iron when my hair is completely dry). Of course it's probably damage hair anyway, but not more than blow dry does - but with iron the process is much faster and I only do it once in few days while with blow dry I had to do touch ups every day

This flat iron is amazing! With most, scratch that, ALL Iron's that I've had before my hair actually burnt. With the Chi you get no burn smell, Unless your hair is wet. Then not a good idea! Gets SUPER HOT, even when you touch your hair. In fact I melted my comb. I give my chi turbo an A+++

i absolutely LOVE the 2" chi i have very thick, curly hair and it cuts time getting ready in half! definately would recommend this product to anyone with unruley hair.

This products does not work as well as the 1" chi straightener. I have to repeat the same section of hair 2-3 times to achieve the same results I achieve with the 1".

I disliked the fact that it did NOT heat up as much as the one I purchased at a retail store.

This item is a very high quality iron and extremely expensive. I had a friend use one on my daughter's hard to manage hair and it was the straightest I've ever seen it. I was actually able to run a comb and finger through her hair without kinks. A must by item if you or someone in your family has curly, tangled hair.

This CHI that everyone raves about is pretty much the same as the straightener I bought at Target. I tested both with a food thermometer, and they both got to around 350 degrees. So, it's good but not spectacular by any means.
