Cheyenne Autumn (DVD, 2007)

Great cast and cinematography. The story is also great and a sad commentary on US history. I highly recommend seeing it to everyone.

This is an awesome story of how the indians were treated at treaties and the way they got cheated by the government, and a lot of soldiers who hated indians,were happy to get a chance to kill indians,like custer,and his glory hunting that got a lot of men killed because of his hate.

I enjoyed this movie because it was fair to the Native American spirit to persevere
and also the beautiful landscape in the background typical of John Ford films. Richard Widmark was an excellent actor in this movie.

I like these kind of westerns with indians in great surroundings in the desert

Cheyenne Autumn is a John Ford western. What more can we say about a film of the great Master?
Infortunately, modern movies with all its technology, fantasy (and violence) are poor works if we compare them with the great films of the fifties and the sixties, directed and interpreted by great men and women.
