Lets face it.... cars are a luxury, therefore an expense. The simple fact is, no matter how you look at it, even if your car runs perfect all the time, you still have to put gas in it to make it go. Expense! But who's car runs perfect all the time? If you have one, let me know so I can get one too! But honestly, at some point in time your car needs some attention. Whether it is the simple oil change, brakes, or something more difficult, wouldn't it be nice to do it yourself as opposed to shelling out a bunch of cash to have someone else do it for you? The Haynes line of repair manuals are perfect for the novice level and up do it yourselfers! Not only do they put the tasks in an easy to understand text, they use excellent photographs to accompany the written repair. Making this a extremely valuable asset to someone with a little motivation to save themselves some hard earned money!

The Haynes manuals are written for someone with even a little knowledge about vehicle maintenance. I like the manual for getting a good overall idea about where to start and there is troubleshooting information that will get you going in the right direction.

It is written in somewhat of a "readers digest" style where you get the basic jest of the topic but does not go very in-depth to allow you to tackle bigger jobs. There is enough information to tackle small jobs and enough information to speak intelligently when speaking to a mechanic.

Bottom line is this type of manual (Haynes or Chilton) is a MUST for anyone that owns an automobile!!!
