I bought the CD because I wore the vinyl version of the album out years ago. I loved Chet Atkins and his guitar style. His treatment of Beatles' tunes was pure genius. I was thrilled to see that the album had been reprinted in CD format. Thanks.

The husband is thrilled!! He is a big Chet Atkins fan and a bigger Beatles fan therefore this is a dream cd for him!

Believe it or not my Dad had a copy of this album on an 8 track cartridge (look it up on Wikipedia), he gave it to a close friend who never returned it due to an untimely demise (how inconvenient!). The great Chet Atkins was one of the early electric guitar pioneers (along with Les Paul)in the late 40's and 50's. In the 60's Chet took the tunes of the Beatles, which at the time my Dad didn't particularly relate to (being more from the Glenn Miller era); however, Chet emphasised the melodies...and suddenly my Dad 'got' the Beatles. This is the genius of a true musician, crossing the generational and cultural boundaries. Often the Beatles tunes are overshadowed by their very celebrity and by their performance. If you like the Beatles, Chet's simple and pure interpretation won't diminish your admiration, and will give you a new perspective.

I bought the record back in 1965.So you can see why I was glad to find it on CD.
I like the way Chet Atkins played the songs.I liked the price of the CD.I love the sound of the digital remastering of these old tapes.It sounds like it was newly recored.I like it!

Chet Atkins cover of some of the Beatles tunes are something I'm glad I discovered and purchased. Actually I purchased one for me and a couple to give as gifts, since most of my friends like Beatles songs. The melody is unquestionably what propels this recording and Chet could hardly have made any improvement there. I've heard many worse, and few better covers.
Beck did a very nice instrumental version of "A Day in the Life".
Jeff Beck covered "She's a Woman".
Johnny A covers "Eleanor Rigby".
I enjoy hearing different interpretations of familiar tunes, and especially Beatles songs. So if it isn't a totally uninspired cover of a Beatles song, buy it and enjoy it.

I love guitar music and I think anything done by chet atkins is worth buying.
I think this cd is worth buying if you like the Beatles music.

This is one of the greatest instrumental Beatles cover album. Chet Atkins' guitar is lush and wonderful. He is also one of the great guitarist of our time.
