Synopsis When high school student Fred Bauer discovers that he has cancer, he begins undergoing an experimental chemotherapy treatment. Fred soon finds that the chemotherapy has given him new powers--his senses are heightened and he has amazing physical strength. Fred uses these powers to defeat both a gang of school bullies and the factory that is polluting his town's reservior--the very environmental problem that might have caused his cancer in the first place.
When the drugs that he takes as part of his chemotherapy suddenly transform him from wimp into superhero, sixteen-year-old Fred and his friends plot to rid the town of its most lethal environmental hazard, toxic waste in the water supply.
