This book has some of the best examples found in any text book. It is far supperior to most other text books. It covers the topic very thuroughly and well explained concepts. It covers the different topics and relates each chapter to previous chapters and is very complete. I recommend this book to any chemistry student, especially chemistry majors. It will make you an expert.

The price was very good, however, even though the description she wrote online said the book was "like new", the edges were torn. The inside however was clean as described.

a decent introductory book for general chemistry. has very good explanation of concepts, a huge variety of problems to practice the concepts. for full benefit, better have the solution manual as well for answers and complete explanations of all problems. got this book to study for the DAT because the one used by my professor stinks.

I liked purchasing the book off half, saved a bunch of money. One complaint is that it was listed as being in excellent condition, but it actually should have been listed as being in "good" condition.

The book has nothing I haven't already seen in other books. I don't feel you will get anything special from buying this book over other books. I had to buy this book for general chemistry. I had taken a semester off between taken the first half of of the class and the second half. In the mean time they switched from a easier to read text to this text. The other text was a book by Ebbings and Gammin (I think that was the authors.) I liked the other text better. I find myself reading that text, and doing the problems out of this book.
