The Cheerleaders Collection (DVD, 2003)

OUT OF THE THREE FILMS, "THE CHEERLEADERS " BY DIRECTOR PAUL GLICKLER IS THE ONLY REASON TO OWN THIS COLLECTION. BY FAR A SUPERIOR FILM TO THE JACK HILL DIRECTED "THE SWINGING CHEERLEADERS". THE OTHER CHEERLEADER MOVIE "REVENGE OF THE CHEERLEADERS" IS SLIGHTLY BETTER THAN THE JACK HILL FILM. IT HAS A PATHETIC EARLY PERFORMANCE BY DAVID HASSELHOFF AS IT'S ONLY REDEEMING QUALITY. GOOD FOR A LAUGH. ORIGINALLY SAW "THE CHEERLEADERS" ON TV YEARS AGO AND FELL IN LOVE WITH IT. THAT'S THE REASON I BOUGHT THE COLLECTION. THE OTHER TWO FILMS I HAVE NO INTEREST IN.

The first of the series is the best on of the 3. It had a plot and even though the actng was suspect. It was a good movie. The Revenge of the Cheerleaders was the 2nd. Now this movie was bad, awful, no acting,plot, or any substance at all. It wasn't laughable. I may dat myself with this, but, I thought the old movie "Attack of the killer tomatoes was the wrst movie made, but not now this beats it hands down. Wasn't a B movie, it was a Z movie orst of the worst.
Now the last: The swinging Cheerleaders. This movie was alot better. Jack Hill did a credible job with this movie. Still a B movie but it was not bad.

I'd say if the 2nd one was kept out of this set it would have had a good chance to sell decently. I' beleive that if you had a chance to ask David Hasselhoff about the movie he'd want to forget the experince. Then another thing about this was something that would never happen, having a pregnant girl on the cheering squad.

Thank god there was some nudity in this, so it was moderately watchable! lol Bad acting, but was David Hasselhoff's first, I guess for a 70's movie, it was kind of good in its day, but try to get this cheap as possible! And don't take everything said on imdb.com or other reviews on it, it's a lackluster sexploitation comedy!

An interesting collection of farces about cheerleaders and their supposed desires on love and romance.

The only reason to own these movies is to enjoy how awful they are. That and seeing a young David Hasselhoff give his all to a movie I'm sure he's tried to forget since doing it. The DVD is exactly what you'd expect. Not much in the realm of extras, but the transfers aren't too bad.

This is vintage 70s style cheerleader movies. I remember seeing these on the BIG SCREEN... when it was the ONLY way to see them.These are great flicks.
