  Excellent! A wonderful family movie!

Loads of fun... a great family movie! Steve Martin & Bonnie Hunt are wonderful as parents trying to raise a dozen kids the best they can. The older kids are moving on with their own lives, and the younger ones are growing up before their eyes. It's not always easy for parents to let go, but in the end they have to...

The setting for this movie takes place at the family's summer home, with Levy as their overly competitive neighbor across the lake. Lots of funny moments as the two dads try to out do each other, and involve their kids in the "battle". The two moms, Hunt and Electra, are able to remain level headed, and are there to help the dads when the kids finally rebel under the pressure of the competition. The kids just want to be friends instead of competing family vs. family.

A SUPER bunch of children actors/actresses!! :)

I believe almost anyone would enjoy this movie! :)

Cheaper By the Dozen 2

Cheaper by the Dozen two has several incredibly funny parts but is so full of cliches that it gets old fast.

The cast is great and Eugene Levy is spectacular. The pack-rat is a definite scene stealer.

Final Verdict:

3/5

Rent or Buy?: This movie is a rental first, just to make sure you like it. If you have a family, chances are you'll end up owning this one.

Not as good as the original, not Steve Martin's best. This movie is pretty much family friendly so,I would recommend it for families who want good clean fun in a movie world driven by too much violence, sex, and foul language.

What a great movie, I loved the way everyone in this movie fit together for a large family movie.
Steve Martin plans to have all his family together for a labor day get away to an place they camped together when the children were younger. His older daughter getting ready to give birth to his first grandchild, and his next to the oldest daughter moving to New York he is feeling the effects of his family starting their own lives now.
So they all head up to the lake and what a adventure.
His old friend for many years or his arch enemy competes for everything from the amount of children they had to the best of everything else.
You will laugh through this whole movie. I believed the comical aspects of this movie was great.
You will not be disappointed.

Cheaper By The Dozen Part Two~Very Good Family Entertai

Cheaper By The Dozen Part Two~Very Good Family Entertainment. Films like this make you wonder why more aren't being made. This is good sequal to the first, wich even leaves the door open for a possible third. This time the kids are turned loose at camp, where a long-time rivarly is re-kindled and the families are competing against each other again. It's 12 rowdys against 8 well-to-do kids being raised by the dad of American Pie. Carmen Electra plays the trophy wife (Go figure, lol) Anyway, this one is full of good laughs, and well worth seeing even if you missed the first.

  Summer Fun in Wisconsin
Review created: 06/05/06

The family seemed separated and Steve Martin reminisces with Bonnie Hunt how much fun they had as a family at the summer cabin. All twelve Baker kids and their parents, Tom (Martin) and Kate (Bonnie Hunt), are going on vacation to their summer cabin in Wisconsin for one last hurrah before the kids grow up and go their separate ways. When they arrive at their old house they realize things have changed. Tom’s rival, Jimmy Murtaugh (Eugene Levy) is now the Big Cheese and owns all the real estate. This is when the Father Tactics begin and the competition starts. Good family movie.

  THE BEST LARGE FAMILY MOVIE.

After accepting the fact that a woman can have twelve children and still look beautiful; you can let your imagination do the rest. This movie is great for entertaining all age kids. My daughter (12) loves Steve Martin. Steve was very good in transcending from my generation to her generation – to my happy surprise. Steve still looks great and is funny as ever. Cheaper by the dozen II is full of family fun and silly shenanigans (just as in the first one). The movie is busy, amusing and uplifting; great for inviting over your neighbords and ordering a pizza. You might not want to cook humburgers. I am glad I purchased Cheaper by the Dozen 1 & 2. Well spent money.

  Family Friendly

Thankfully someone is still making family friendly movies. The formula is much the same as Cheaper 1, and not as funny as the first. Still it is a movie parents can feel safe to let their kids watch. Even Carmen Elektra playing the stereotypical beautiful but clueless 2nd wife was good in this movie. As with the first Bonnie Hunt is here witty mom next door, and Steve Martin is the bumbling meddling gotta love him dad. However I can't see a Cheaper 3.

  Better than the first?
Review created: 06/17/06

This movie we saw because we loved the first remake. But if you really want to enjoy Cheaper by the Dozen you have to see the original movie. Kids love the storyline of the original. The original is just that and the setting is unreplaceable.
As for this sequel it was well done. The casting for the rich family was great and never would have thought of Euguene Levy and Carmen Elektra in a million years as the snobby competitive neighbors across the lake. Their robot of children were acted beautifully.
Hunt and Martin acted in this movie great. But Hunt definately came into her own in this movie vs the first one. What an actress she proved to be here.
The famous "meat scene" is done again with a rioutous switch. We were laughing through most of the movie which is the sign of a fun family movie to us.
This is a great movie to have for your home library. You will watch it over and over with enjoyment each time.

This is much better than the first movie. I laughed the whole movie. The Bakers decide to go on vacation to the lake where they have been on vacation many times. They get caught back up in a completion with their long time rivals the Murtaugh family. It is totally new and refreshing. It is not like some sequels which repeat. You will love this movie.

I really enjoyed this movie, although the dog's antics and the bickering fathers were a bit tedious at times. Bonnie Hunt was wonderful as usual. The movie really showed the importance of putting family first. It was also fun to watch for the movie beach scenes filmed at Rockwood Ontario, where my family recently went camping.

Cheaper By The Dozen 2 is an EXCELLENT FAMILY COMEDY for all!! If you've seen the first one, this is A MUST!! Battle of the Jones' at the Lake!! Well, actually.. its the Bakers VS the Murtaughs, in every aspect! The dozen has grown, and they offer a great new array of personalities! Not to mention the great addition to the cast, Eugene Levy, and a couple of other familiar faces!!

A GREAT CAST, GREAT MOVIE, TONS OF LAUGHS!!

Will keep your attention from beginning to end, and its a movie you'll enjoy owning as you'll want to watch it again and again!

Rent It or Buy It? We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Buying It! You won't be disappointed!

I bought the DVD because I like family films and not something small children can see. I am a Christian and would like more movies like this. I appreciate Ebay because you can find things for a good price when you cannot find it anywhere else for this price. Thanks jlr44reading

I enjoyed the family together theme that took them out of the city to enjoy the summer vacation. It was a clean theme that showed competition isn't that important. Family ties won over rivalry.
