This was one of the first books I ever cried over as a young child! It is a very touching tale centering around a little girl's pig Wilbur, and the new friends he meets in the barn after he is sent to live on her Uncle's Farm- most notably Templeton the Rat, and the very clever spider, Charlotte.

After reading this book, I never looked at spiders quite the same again! She and Wilbur form a very special bond and they each make selfless sacrifices for the other, purely out of love. She saves his life by weaving special messages into her web, and in the end he saves her babies from certain death by rescuing her egg sac.

The beautiful black and white illustrations by Garth Williams (who also illustrated the Little House Series) are a delight. This is certainly one of the best novels in all Children's Literature.

This is the kind of book every home with children should have! This makes a brilliant bedtime story kind of book. Read a bit each night and share a special story AND some special moments with a child!

The book came in great condition like the description stated. I bought this book because it was a required book for my Children's Lit class.

General all around great classic must see for young children. Great for children to get in touch with their feelings. Also to teach children to try their best and to be loyal to their friends. Better at describing than any movie can.

It's a very popular book and movie. I have surprisingly never read it, saw the movie but didnt read the book. It just happened to be that I needed the book for a college course. I could of easily borrowed the book but this is a must have book. Plus I receieved two other books I really wasnt aware of getting, but I am very interested to read them.

Great book to read to kids. Shows the appreciation in caring for animals. A book that isn't stuck to one generation of kids, but can be handed on to others.

Kids who liked the movie will like the book too. My daughter chose it for her 4th grade literature requirement and it was an easy and interesting read for her.

Loved it since I was a child. Keep it to read to my grandchildren and myself to bring back childhood memories. The simply things in life are the best. And love not matter what.

I like how it was easy to find it,reveiw it and get without the hassel of

driving around town trying to find the book in the book store.

I never read the book, i saw two movies of Charlotte's Web, one in animation, and one with Dakota Fanning i think the girl's name. Im not so sure. I prefer the movie with Dakota Fanning.
I wanted to read the book to see if i can recognize the differences and i am reading for my college course in my education major i wanted to keep it in the future when i teach the students so i dont have to worry about buying one in the future.
but i really enjoy the book, it teaches a moral lesson of life, the importance of being judged in a wrong way. It will teach kids about it and be able to use in the future.
I really enjoy the book very much!

I chose this book for my granddaughter. It was a favorite of mine as a child and I wanted to shrae those memories with her. There was nothing that I disliked about the book or the transaction.

My daughter wanted to read it following the release of the movie. She enjoyed it very much. She said that it helped her understand the whole movie better.

I thought they were really fast getting the product out in the mail. However, it was sent snail mail. So, it took some time getting it. Overall I would say they do a good job.
